Not to be outdone by Square Enix and their new, next-gen engine, Luminous Studio, Epic Games has released a tech demo to the public of their highly anticipated, Unreal Engine 4 in action. Check out the video below.
“The most world-class game engine to date, Unreal Engine 4 gives you the power to do more than ever before. Unreal Engine 4′s architecture offers fully dynamic lighting features, cutting down on development time and ensuring less iteration on creative ideas.”
“Artists and designers can bring their creative visions to life directly in game without programmer assistance via the new Unreal Kismet. This offers programmers the freedom to focus on core gameplay features and sophisticated systems. With significant new visual features, Unreal Engine 4 enables you to achieve high-end visuals, while remaining both scalable and accessible to make games for low-spec PCs.”

Not bad, but i doubt we’ll ever see this level of graphics even in the next gen. Well maybe during cutscenes
Whilest i thought it was impressive and the lighting looked cool i didnt think that it was lightyears ahead from what where getting already”so im pretty sure this will be standard graphics on the next gen otherwise i will be dissapointed, and as far as what tech demo was better in my opinion square enix tech demo war far better than this but thats just my thought on this,Its good though.
+1, besides particles it’s pretty much current gen graphics with higher resolution and AA.
Download an HD version of the video, transfer to USB, plug into PS3 or 360 and watch on your HDTV. It looks much better than on here.
Also watch the accompanying Epic video guide to the tools available, it makes this video seem much more impressive as it’s all very easily in real time and easily manipulated.
Your right there Badassbab’i just watched more to this tech demo and ive changed my mined as it is verry impressive”I hope this is the norm of things to come for the next Playstation and Xbox.
The Luminous was substantially more impressive imo.
