Capcom has formally announced Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 will add twelve all-new characters to their huge roster, as well as eight new stages, new modes and a “refined fighting system.” Check out the gallery and videos below!
“Releasing this November for a “mid range price,” Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 will include a whopping fifty characters thanks to the new additions, including much-requested personalities such as Capcom’s Strider and Firebrand, and Marvel’s Ghost Rider and Hawkeye.
We’ll find out what other new characters are coming to Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 in the near future, but new features added to the game over the original Marvel VS Capcom 3 include enhancements to the game’s balance and online functionality, while a Spectator Mode will also be added to let you watch live matches online.”
[Update] Doctor Strange, Frank West, Iron Fist, Nemesis, Nova, Phoenix Wright, Rocket Raccoon and Vergil have been accidentally revealed on the Capcom website. Others in the videos; Firebrand, Hawkeye, Strider, and Ghost Rider. That’s all 12 new characters folks.

This should be a 15 dollar dlc just like super sf 4 arcade edition!
also, they better put daredevil and ironfist in there, seeing as though they’re martial artist and would make sense for a fighting game. Hell how about Blade too?
Professor X would be a pretty awesome addition too. Aaaaand of course, how about some breath of fire characters? cap always ignores them when it comes to these vs games.

un…. roster already leaked. Ironfist, nova, rocket racoon, hawkeye, ghost rider, dr strange, frank west, p wright, nemesis, virgil, firebrand and strider. its all over the boards.
This pisses me off, all Capcom does is take advantage of consumers these days. Im sick of every time i turn around that they have to release 3 more version instead of just releasing it as DLC. They promised DLC characters and now instead of giving us the DLC they are releasing this pile of SH*T! Well I guess everyone will start having to wait a few months to buy any fighting game that capcom releases these days just to make sure you dont end up with 5 different versions bc personally what am I going to do with 2 copies of the same game.
Capcom can take any new game they make and shove it up their ass. That new save file system is bullshit, and they’re constantly pulling crap like. You assholes are 10 times worse than Activision or EA could ever be. >.<
“ultimate” Is not a good description.. Should be “plus” or “medium wow” $40 is high seeing how I already paid for a $60 demo.
yep, that’s 100 dollars for a single game, where as mvc2 still had more characters, and you only had to buy the game ONCE.
AND I still play 2..
I think I will wait for the “Ultimate Super Awesome Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Arcade Edition” and then just buy the DLC that follows it.

I will only buy The very Ultimate version of this version if the person incharged of CAPCOM will stand up & say this is the very final version… for MVC3… heh as if that will happen…

They DID say arcade edition of 4 was the final update, so they might make that claim again
And just like Super Street Fighter IV, there won’t be any digital update patch for those who bought the previous version. Personally, I’ll wait for an “Arcade Edition” or something similar, if I ever going to buy this game (I will never make another mistake like purchasing Street Fighter IV again.) *SIGH* What a money milking fest…
Knew they would do this, so i didn’t purchase MvC3, so I bet everyone who waited is pretty happy… Well, maybe not. The new characters seem pretty mediocre with a few exceptions.
Never even heard of Nova or Rocket Raccoon, But Nova looks pretty generic/boring. Much rather of have a few more from MvC2 return, Especially my Fave, The Juggernaut and then probably Venom.
this has been happening since street fighter 2 so it shouldn’t be any surprise.
buying on day one, or waiting for a new version, either way, you’re still buying some version or both, so they will get you either way.
fill up supers, and alpha pluses, super turbos and ultimates, then come out with a sequel and do it again.
I can’t believe they didn’t put in daredevil or silversurfer. how can you have galactus but no silversurfer? how can you have super scrull but NONE of the fantastic 4 members?
I mean, they have xmen and avengers but no fantastic 4?

Why give character slots to goofy characters when there are soooo many badasses you could put in? WHY???
