ATLUS has released a brand new gameplay trailer for their upcoming The King of Fighters XIII. ATLUS has also revealed a killer pre-order bonus for the game, which is due in stores October 25th. See the trailer and official press released inside.

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – JULY 29, 2011 – ATLUS today unveiled a tremendous offer for fans who pre-order their copy of THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII, the latest entry in the legendary fighting franchise, for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system (PS3™) and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
At participating retailers while supplies last, fans who reserve KOF XIII will receive a 4-CD soundtrack compilation with music spanning the 15+ year history of the famed series, certain to be one of the best collectible extras in franchise history. Fans are strongly advised to reserve their copy as soon as possible at participating retailers to guarantee themselves the bonus soundtrack compilation!
Alongside news of the pre-order only 4-CD bonus, ATLUS also today shared new information regarding the console release of KOF XIII, detailing a host of game modes exclusive to the home version.
In STORY mode, players can view events from multiple characters’ perspectives, including Ash, Heidern, and Adelheid. In addition, the story will be influenced by the player’s choices and battle results. All of this is presented through a wealth of new visuals and animations that fans cannot afford to miss!
ONLINE VERSUS mode will feature three different match types, each allowing players to challenge other rivals worldwide: RANKED MATCH, PLAYER MATCH, and FRIEND MATCH/XBOX LIVE PARTY. RANKED MATCH follows strict rules, reflecting players’ records in official rankings. Unranked PLAYER MATCH fights allow for custom rules, letting players enjoy more relaxed battles with more freedom to experiment with new strategies. FRIEND MATCH/XBOX LIVE PARTY lets players invite online challengers.
MISSION mode offers three challenging objectives to help players practice and improve their fighting skills! Beat all the CPU-controlled characters as fast as possible to record the best time in TIME ATTACK. See how many CPU-controlled characters you can defeat before your life gauge is depleted to zero in SURVIVAL. Take on special challenges for each character in TRIAL Mode.
Series newcomers or fans looking to improve their skills can turn to the TUTORIAL mode, in which tournament organizer Rose Bernstein explains the different basic controls for each character and the importance of each gauge.
Other modes available in the console version of KOF XIII include ARCADE, VERSUS, PRACTICE, REPLAY, GALLERY, and CUSTOMIZE. More details will be made available regarding these modes at a later date!

PS3 in my opinion is the best console by far. It has more games. More top rated games that the Xbox hasnt got. more gamers up coming. All the Xbox has got is Gears of War 3 which is jus the same as the first. Same boring gameplay. PS3 for the win

man, what are you talking about? And by the way what does this crap you are saying have to do with King Of Fighters XIII?
XBox 360 has plenty of awesome titles that PS3 doesn’t have, as well as it’s true the opposite.
If you don’t like Gears Of War it’s a problem of yours and yours only, and it doesn’t absolutely mean that Gears is crap or boring.
You fanboys should really look for a decent social life, you know?
Wrong, Its a fact the PS3 has more games than the Xbox and more games that the Xbox doesnt have than the other way round, more than double. Plus the games that the PS3 has the Xboc doesnt are top games and highly rated. The Xbox doesnt have many games that the PS3 doesnt and even less that are highly rated. And in the least 2 years and in the future hardly any.
XBox 360 is a multiplatform game console with some awesome exclusives.
Tell me where I have stated that XBox has more exclusives or that has more games.
I tell you again: if you don’t like XBox 360 games and exclusives it doesn’t mean they are bad.

i got em all, why not? 12 wasnt that great though.. its worth it just for the soundtracks i think.. ive been wanting something like this. i hope they come in a nice case. not paper sleeves..
Pff! THIS GAME KICKS ASS! A lot of you seem ill informed but you can download this game with the Taito Type X2 loader program. The new Taito X2 based arcade boards are pc’s. Games, which include Street Fighter 4, are made on embedded Windows XP os’s with Direct X 9. These are popular in Japan, Also XIII is better than XII by all means. Its the best KOF out and the sprites are fucking amazing! Makes you hate 3D a bit because the animation is so fluid and beautiful. Thats why this thing was mentioned at EVO 2011. This game is already used in tournaments in Japan, and they are doing the same here so this shit is a big deal. To that person oh, @Nigel, GTFO!! Dude this is about KOF not ps3 and xbox. Also who really gives a shit about those systems anyways, they are fucking old and Wii U is around the corner, we want the new shit now!
