Welcome back for another exciting Head2Head! Today we swing a little “close to the edge” with Bennox’s second entry into the Spider-Man series, Spider-Man: Edge of Time on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Although there were some differences, Shattered Dimensions was a close call in our Head2Head last year. Lets see if everyone’s favorite web-crawler can deliver platform parity again…

Activision has released a brand new trailer for Spider-Man: Edge of Time at this years Comic-Con in San Diego. In this trailer you’ll get a glimpse of Spider-Man traveling through time and ruining Peter Parker’s life. Check it out inside. Edge of Time will be released October 4th on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Last week Activision announced that the next installment of their Spider-Man video game series will be released Quarter 4 2011. The game is titled Spider-Man: Edge of Time and will be developed by Beenox, famous for their generally well received Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions released last Fall. Today the company released the first “Edge of Time” screenshots for your viewing pleasure. See them inside. Update: The official teaser trailer for Edge of Time has been added!
