EEDAR, short for Electronic Entertainment Design and Research, is a video game industry specific market research firm founded in 2006. This year after attending E3, the firm calculated a list of the shows “most promising” retail games. Find out who they awarded the number one spot after the jump.

Dust 514 is First Person Shooter coming to the PS3 in early 2012. The game is created by Icelandic developer CCP, and will be integrated with nearly every aspect of their long running PC MMO, EVE Online. Konami has released the official E3 trailer for the much anticipated Silent Hill: Downpour. Details, trailers and screens inside.

XCOM comes to us from the same developers who brought us the awesome BioShock and its sequel (2K Marin). In this reboot of the classic PC franchise, you’ll play an FBI agent on a mission to eliminate an unknown extraterrestrial threat. Sounds fun. XCOM is scheduled to be released March 6, 2012 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Get a look at this one in action inside.

Here’s a game we’ve heard very little about, but the little we have heard has all been good. Payday: The Heist is a PSN / PC game that plays like Left 4 Dead but instead of you and your buddies fighting zombies, you rob banks. Sony unveiled the game only a few days ago at E3 so there’s no official release date. You’ll find the debut trailer after the jump, let us know if your interested.

The latest trailer from Battlefield 3 shows us what its like to drive a tank and blow up everything in sight. Needless to say, this footage is all in-game (pre-alpha) and and looks pretty amazing. Watch it inside.

Okay so these screens aren’t all new. We saw a couple of them just last weekend. However, all ten of these screens were officially released by Bethesda, so you know they look good. Ubisoft has announced the first original game for the Nintendo Wii U. It’s called, Killer Freaks from Outer Space and is a First Person Shooter that has players fighting off an alien invasion in London. Jump inside for a few details, screens, and the debut trailer.

Square Enix has released the debut trailer for Hitman: Absolution. Although the trailer is entirely CG it should be enough to get you pumped for the game. Absolution is due sometime in 2012 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
