PlayStation Plus members get a special treat today: Starhawk public beta! That’s right, in case you forgot, today is the beginning of LightBox Interactive’s Starhawk public beta.
So what’s different between the public and private betas? Host migration and a new “Classic Arcade Flight-Mode”, which is a returning favorite from Warhawk. The full game will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 3, May 8th. Below is an official “public beta welcome” video from Sony. Enjoy.

This game is looking to be awesome. I played in the private beta, and the Build & Battle system is almost perfect and what really makes the game stand out. I can’t wait to try the SP and Horde mode in the full game. Both sound great. This game plus Twisted Metal and Dust 514 = PS3 innovation at it’s finest and great year for PS3 owners. Keep it up Sony.

I didnt thumb dialGAY, although the reason he did is most likely because he is the biggest troll on this site, so yeh thats probably why.
Anyways,this is looking EPIC. It reminds me a lot of Ratchet and clank (mainly the space flying), and the cars look like they are from jak 3.

Uncharted 3 cod holders get in on January 31st. Not sure when it’s going to be open to everybody.
All PlayStation+ subscribers can enjoy the β today (January 17), while those who have the voucher (that was bundled with the Collector’s Edition of Uncharted 3 ) will have to wait till January 31.
The β will be available for anyone (with access to the PlayStation Store) on February 21.
P.S. It’s funny how DialgaMarine got 2 thumb-downs for answering Jared’s question. Seriously now, the guy is being helpful and he got negged for it!? I fail to understand this world…
This game is a breath of fresh air. I was slightly addicted to the private Beta. I will definitely purchase the final product later.
Starhawk sure is looking like another great PS3 exclusive. This along with twisted metal and hopefully last guardian and the last of us will make this year another winner for teh PS3.
Plus thats what great about PSN+, we actually get stuff for it unlike XBOX LAG where all you get is a $hitty service that doesnt work half the time plus its completely optional
It’s not really my cup of tea, but I played the beta a little and I found very enjoyable! Lotta things to do. Graphically it’s quite good, although not impressive. But it’s still a beta, it may be improved as well.
