Resistance 3 has gone gold! To celebrate, Insomniac has released a new trailer, titled, ‘Journey’. In the trailer, Alex Capelli takes a trip through Chimera infested New York four years after the conclusion of Resistance 2. Join the Resistance September 6th, exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

I like shooters but I like shooters even more if theres story or good story. Resistance usually have good story. A fan of FOM.
OMG Rage, a multi-console release, makes this game look like shit.

??? I’m also getting RAGE, but this is the third installment in a fantastic series.
They are 2 different experiences. Plus the weapons are so epic, i have only seen comparable guns in ratchet games (also made by insomniac).
Plus, RAGE should look better anyway, it has taken how long?
the last game made by id was in 2004 (DOOM 3). If it aint a cut above the rest, their whole legacy will be in tatters.
Plus, the MP of Resistance takes a massive graphical hit. From what I have seen of the campaign, the graphics are great and the atmosphere blends in superbly (sorta like bioshock)

See… The key differenece here, between you and me, is that I, being a PS3 owner, have the option of buying both games, or picking 1 over the other. However, I’m a real gamer who appreciates a fantastic game and fantastic story, on top of fantastic graphics, so obviously Resistance 3 is the way to go. You don’t have that luxury. You’re stuck with the game that relies entirely on it’s graphics on PC to sell, and yes, I emphasize the term PC because if you honestly believe that you’re going to get the graphics shown for that game out of your severely outdated Shitbox 3-Shitty, then you really are as stupid as your comments.
I choose not to buy the silly Borderlands/ Fallout wannabe, so have fun having no options, kid.
i wasn’t sure if i was going to buy resistance3. but that trailer made me to pre-order it.
Yeah… at 1st i thought its just above average by best… this trailer changed my mind. Too bad not sure have anymore $$$ to order this or not lol.

Kinda makes you wonder what insomniac is trying to hide with all the bonus content on the disc. (quote taken stright from the psblog.)

Thats sounds like they’re trying to cover up the fact its gonna have a painfully short campaign and focus on the fad that is the online multiplayer plus don’t forget to update it as soon as you get it and also don’t forget about the online pass. David Jaffe summed up on-disk DLC nicely when he said that it lowers bandwidth costs for developers. You see, a Dev can give you a nice full experience and still have promises for DLC, and they could have that DLC completed with the full game. Now here’s the beauty; the bluray can hold allot of information – somewhere around 40 gigabytes to be exact, so they have room to put that DLC they’ve designed for said game.
Now every time you’re producing some sort of update or DLC for a console, that costs you money – allot of money. Bandwidth is not cheap in the slightest when producing content for a console. So what sounds more cost effective? Uploading a 100+ Mb file of content created after the fact or a uploading 20kb file created to unlock a carefully crafted expansion developed along side the game for the main purpose of being extra payed content?
Insomniac has promised a lengthy 12+ hour campaign like they had with Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2. They just so happen to have some on-disk DLC that they will unlock later on. Now, looking at the insane knowledge that anyone who’s talked to developers before knows about… or who knows how to use f*cking wikipedia for that matter.
Now I don’t think Microsoft has done this as much, because they only have 8gb’s of data at their disposal. So if you have a problem with games doing this, at least your precious Microsoft is clean and pure from this strategic sin that you have such a problem with. I have absolutely no problem with it myself as long as the game is good. Now allot of Playstation games are going to do this in the future, but at least the playstion has games, so I can’t complain. Oh, did I just say that outloud?

xbox ps3 /= epic win. Gaming PC + ps3 = epic win since I can personally claim to have the superior version of any multiplat games. Plus I will have the best looking exclusive game to come out this year which is Hard Reset

What’s funny is that all that crap you just would only take up about 1, mabye 2, GB on one disc. Last time I checked, that’s hardly even a dent in a 50 GB disc, but then again, mabye in that place you call YOUR realm of reality, 2 GB destroys a 50 GB disc. This game is looking to be awesome, so enjoy hanging out in the troll section at Wal-Mart while gamers enjoy this great title.
