Capcom has announced they will be bringing the on-rails light gun Resident Evil games to the PlayStation 3 in HD. The two titles, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles, which first appeared on the Nintendo Wii, will be bundled as Resident Evil Chronicles HD, and feature full PlayStation Move support.
The announcement was made earlier today at Capcom’s Resident Evil 15th anniversary event in Japan. A European / American release has yet to be confirmed although we can’t see why this collection wouldn’t be made available in both countries. Pricing has also yet to be announced but we’ll keep you updated.

Another game to add to the growing list of Move supported titles. Kinect may have sold more, but it’s pretty much unsupported by third party and first party alike.
This is just too good. A Wii port to the overpriced internet ready blu ray player ROFL. Well since Sony is getting it’s ass kicked by Microsoft I guess they’ll fair better against the Wii ROFL. The pink ball wavy around thingy is just an hd version of the wiimote anyway LOL. This is more the overpriced internet ready blu ray player’s speed…wii ports LMFAO.

John Carmack’s a DINOSAUR… BOOM!
Yeah, but the majority of games that support move are just games that had move patched in.
Okay, so Move support has been patched in “on some games.” It still works well with those games.
There were a decent amount of games, third party and first party that was developed with Move and standard controls in mind. Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 were released with Move compatibility from the start.
Recently released Goldeneye has Move compatibility for instance. Where’s the Kinect compatibility? Because most games really don’t work with Kinect controls. Games that should have Kinect compatibility don’t. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12. It has Move compatibility but no Kinect compatibility.
Wii exclusive titles are starting to be ported over to the PS3 or are becoming multiconsole titles between the two systems. House of the Dead Overkill, Resident Evil Chronicles, Rune Factory Oceans.
So you can say all you want about some games having Move compatibility patched in, but you can’t deny all the multiconsole titles that have Move compatibility, yet no Kinect compatibility.
If it’s anything like the previous shoddy HD port, then no thank you… One would expect Capcom to put more care into remastering Resident Evil 4 but no… they just want some quick bucks with less than minimal efforts.
Forget just remastering it; go back and alter Darkside Chronicles so it isn’t such a mess to play anymore. Seriously, how people say Darkside is the better game have no idea. Sure, it’s more polished and better looking than UC, but actually playing, aiming, and the stupid idea of shared ammo between two players is unforgivable.
Wow! I am so glad I sold my PS Move. I played this game last year on the Wii.
