GTTV’s reveal of a huge Sony exclusive game was just moments ago, and as evidence suggested, the exclusive game is PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
Developed by independent studio SuperBot Entertainment, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will sport a roster featuring “two decades of characters” including Kratos, PaRappa the Rapper, Fat Princess, Sweet Tooth, Radec and Sly Cooper just to name a few. Official details (screens and videos) are sure to follow so be sure to check back soon.

UPDATE: The official announce video. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be available Holiday 2012.

MMm…yea. This is lame. I mean, there are already plenty fighting games out, some good, few horrible, most mediocre, and those are from established franchises. But this is just like PlayStation’s Smash Bros. I guess some dedicated PS3 users may find this to be fun. But when all sort of random characters are pitted against one another, it may make the audience narrower since it is destined to be viewed as “kids game”
This looks terrible…
So… This is like Super Smash Bros.?
*ducks*
And Sony rips off Nintendo AGAIN!
A+
Yea seriously. Whether it will be a quality good game I don’t know until it comes out. But even if it is, I do not know how could they feel good about making something that is so obviously like Smash Brothers? The platforms, the speed, the interactive environment.
I believe xbox 360 did as well with one downloadable game on Xbla. I do not remember what it is called, but it does not have a collection of Microsoft characters or anything like that, it just has cartoonish, bipedal, animals with guns shooting each other. It didn’t go anywhere, but was also very clear rip off at Smash Bros.
In all seriousness, there were games like this before Smash Bros. I doubt that anyone here would ever remember Outfoxies.
Ripping off or not, the game still looks fun. It’s peaked my interest just as every Smash Bros game has.
So does anyone know, approximately, how many Sony owned characters are there? I mean if we take only one character per game, not pull multiple ones from one game.
the gameplay mechanics all seem solid. all they need are the features. the bells and whistles, if you will. it needs good online MP and game settings
the gameplay looks better than I expected. im excited for this. I hope they have DLC expansions for more characters.
