After seeing the box art for this game, I really wonder if Capcom knew what they were about to release. Their little blue hero Mega Man was about to become a cornerstone for the future. Mirroring the success of Castlevania, Mega Man has stood the test of time and technology. With a game on almost every console, action figures, and even a cartoon series, Mega Man is as close to gaming royalty as one can get. Click the pic to see what started all the Mega Madness.

The game that set Hideo Kojima on the map, Metal Gear Solid, will be available on the PlayStation Network on June 18th, according to a Konami Press Release. The first game in the series takes place in Alaska, where Solid Snake is attempting to eliminate a special forces unit called FOXHOUND. Metal Gear Solid will be available on the PlayStation Network on June 18th for $9.99.

I’m very happy to report that I am back home safe and sound and with lots of pictures and footage from the E3 show. If you have been following along there has already been three separate posts from each day of the show, mostly showing off the over abundance of booth babes. You’ve waited patiently and now you can finally see some of the show.

In this Evolution, we take a look at Hudson’s Adventure Island series. From Master Higgins’ first NES adventure in 1988, to Adventure Island: The Beginning - released just this past month on the Nintendo WiiWare service - every major console the skateboard riding, fruit devouring island master appeared in, is shown.  So crack open an egg, grab your skateboard, and take a ride on into this evolution of Hudson’s Adventure Island series.

According to Crytek’s Cevat Yerli, Crysis 2 will max out the power of the PS3 – In an interview Yerli gave to gamasutra, he said “The interesting thing is we did run a performance analysis on the PS3 devkit, and you know the funny thing is the occupation on all the CPUs, the Cell and the GPUs, is pretty much – the needle is at the limit.” Click the link to gamasutra for more on the story.

Konami has revealed a new Castlevania game, titled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, at its E3 press conference. The game, which is being developed by Clive Barker’s Jericho creator Mercury Steam in collaboration with Kojima Productions, was first unveiled last year as Lords of Shadow. Capcom announced the return of one of the fighting game crossovers.. Not unlike Capcom’s popular Marvel vs. Street Fighter series, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars pits a number of characters from two popular franchises against one another. The game’s Japanese release saw nine characters from Tatsunoko Productions’ various anime franchises join the same number of fighters from Capcom’s stable. Click the link to find out more.

Gametrailers has posted new gameplay for the PS3 exclusive, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. In this footage that was taken at Sony’s Press Conference, Drake and his female companion explore an exotic town. Clike the link to check out this awesome video.

Gametrailers has just posted the gameplay from today’s Sony Press Conference for God of War III. This video shows off some intense gameplay action with Kratos. The game continues to look better after each and every new video. God of War III will be available for the PS3 in early 2010.

At their E3 press conference today, Nintendo announced the next Super Mario Bros -”Super Mario Bros Wii”. Then they teased us with this new trailer for the game. Release date: Winter ’09.

Nintendo is teaming up with the remaining members of Team Ninja to create Samus Aran’s latest adventure – Metroid: Other M for the Nintendo Wii. The new Metroid title looks to have allot of third-person gameplay as well as some first person action. Release date is TBA. Check out the debut trailer inside.

Developer Remedy showed off its much-anticipated adventure game, Alan Wake at Microsoft’s E3 press conference today. Check out the creepy (and incredible) video from Gametrailers, after the jump.

Gametrailers has just posted a new trailer for the PS3 version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. This trailer shows off some extensive action gameplay against huge monsters. It includes gameplay from both Ryu and Ayane. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will be avaliable for the PS3 in Fall of 2009.

Gametrailers has posted the debut trailer for Konami’s Metal Gear Solid: Rising. This trailer was first seen at Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference where it was announced that the next Metal Gear Solid would be coming to the Xbox 360 – exclusivity was not mentioned. The trailer shows Raiden in all his HD glory. At todays Microsoft E3 press confrence,  Bungie and Microsoft announced a NEW and upcoming title coming to the 360 in the Fall of 2010 - Halo: Reach, a prequel of the original Halo. Check out the video inside.
