Team Ninja’s Ninja Gaiden 3 launched in North America today with a few issues, mainly, gamers are entering their online pass codes only to find that they’re invalid.
Game Informer has uncovered that a Twitter search for Ninja Gaiden 3 online pass reveals many gamers are receiving error messages when attempting to enter their online pass codes. The Website actually states the issue is holding up their review of the game, not wanting to give a score without playing the multiplayer portion.
Team Ninja has since confirmed via their Facebook page their is an issue, and they’re are working hard to resolve it:

For those of you with the PlayStation 3 version of the game, the online pass will be redeemable by 4pm Pacific time. For those of you with the Xbox 360 version, we are currently working with Microsoft to resolve the issue and we will keep you updated.
Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this matter.
Soon after another update:
For those of you with the Xbox 360 version of Ninja Gaiden 3, please re-enter your code the online pass is now working.
In other Ninja Gaiden 3 news, IGN bashed the game in their review published yesterday, saying, “Ninja Gaiden 3 is a gash on the face of the franchise and one of the worst games the action genre has yet suffered. It has no consideration for its fans’ wants or what a new audience may have enjoyed. It’s a nightmare that’s as easy as it is uninteresting, and it abandons what used to work for awful new ideas that don’t work together. Under no circumstance should you ever waste your time on this self-indulgent and abysmal wreck.”
The site awarded the game a 3.0 out of 10. Ouch.
