While Skyrim patch 1.4 isn’t available on consoles as of yet, PC gamers are hard at work testing out a beta version of patch 1.4.15. This patch delivers numerous quest fixes and other glitch fixes. Along with the release of the beta patch comes a slew of patch notes, one of which mentions the PS3 version.
“Optimized bookshelf script in player-owned houses that would occasionally cause active scripts to lag and also cause an increase to saved games filesize (PS3)”
Seeing how Besthesda makes special mention of the PS3 version in these notes we’re guessing they’ve isolated the PS3 lag | save file issue. Of course, with no release of this patch on consoles we will just have to wait and see. You can view the full list of fixes on the Bethesda Forums here. We must say, the list of quest fixes is immense, and seeing as how we’ve run into quite a few quest glitches, we can’t wait to test them out for ourselves — should all fixes make the console version of this patch.

Yes, I am hopeful. I reached the point where I had to put the game down. I have not experienced much lag and I am at the 200 hour mark. However, I am unable to start some key quests, even in the main story line. And then there is the random freezing issue. If those problems are addressed I probably won’t post here for another 2 months.
I don’t care for Skyrim to much anymore. I liked the previous Elder Scrolls better. The tutorial in Oblivion made feel sick to my stomach just doing it, probably because I did it over 9000 times. Anyway, Bethesda doesn’t deserve any credibility for this game. I feel like they only care about 2/3′s of their community. Anyway, if I were to rate Skyrim pre-patches and post patches, I’d give it an 8 pre-patches and an 8 after the patches. Why? Because unfinished products do not deserve such a massive amount of recognition. If Skyrim didn’t win GOTY at all it would actually be better. Bethesda would have realized what they’ve done and wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. Well I’m done here, call me butt hurt but, Skyrim is a very repetitive game with a moderate amount of replay value IMO.

Lol, the funniest thing about him is his age. I’m just going to assume he is 12 or 13 because of the numbers “1999″ in his name. Which would imply that he is a gamer of this generation, you know.. the worst one. If he ever touched an older device such as the SNES or N64, maybe he’d love all platforms. PS3FTW and Android aren’t to different in my eyes.

I can get pretty bad myself though if I get wound up. Its all good fun, and passes the time at work! lulz. If he is 12 or 13, I have to admit that despite the immaturity, he does disply some degree of intelligence for his age.

Oh thanks for the intelligence comment there Samchezz. I get really nasty on here, that’s for sure, but like you said, it’s all in fun. Just to get you guys wound up. You’re so passionate about you’re console it’s admirale really.
But , especially Samchezz since we’ve been going at each other on this site forever now, should remember that I also have a PS3 and (unfortuately) a Wii. I hooked up my ps3 to the my 3d lg a couple weeks ago and I have to say that it was pretty awesome. Be sure to copy, paste, and save this comment somewhere LMFAO.

The lag issue has most likely been exaggerated by the xbots. Doesnt matter anyway, once this patch comes out the PS3 version will be the best version available on accont of the fact it can actuallly be played for more than 5 minutes without teh console RROD.
The 360 slim doesn’t get the RROD as much as the previous models, it actually gets it significantly less. It is also a pretty cool console at that. Btw, whats with the contradicting screen name/avatar?
Exaggerated my but. There are times when it literally gets a slide show. A temporary fix is to save and then restart the game. Still after many hours (200 in my case) it feels slow since after restarting. I loaded a previous game save before the Companions questline was broken and I wanted its trophy. I’ve been surprised to see that it felt not so bad. And the lagging hit already many hours before.
In any case, can a SW being written so badly that a glitched bookcase affects the performances of the WHOLE game?! What about object oriented programming? The objects are the meatballs in the spaghetti code?

Well it will only need graphics patch too, also aditional fixesfor that lower quality of picture, worse framerate, more popup etc. thing that also plagues Skyrim on PS3…
