Sony has announced the release date for their upcoming Jak & Daxter HD Collection. You’ll be able to add this one to your collection on February 7, 2012, and will retail for $39.99. This collection includes the first three PS2 Jak & Daxter tiles remastered in HD on a single Blu-ray disc. There will be over 100 trophies to collect across the three games.

Another great HD classic collection for the PS3. Wonder why M$ dont release original xbox exclusive games in HD collection oh wait, they didn’t have any exclusives besides gaylo.
Wow, another chadwarden, only a little bit more stupid. Had both xbox and ps2 (and gamecube too, for what matter). It’s undeniable that ps2 has got a bigger software library, but xbox got lot of good exclusive besides halo that simply deserve to be played (Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Forza Motorsport, Crimson Skies, Knights of the Old Republic I & II, Jade Empire, Riddick, Fable, Ninja Gaiden, Gunvakyrie, MechAssault 1 & 2, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, Blinx 1 & 2, Project Gotham Racing, Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders & Heroes, Phantom Dust, Otogi 1 & 2…). Same can be said for this generation (had fun playing Uncharted series or God of War 3, but liked Alan Wake, Gears of War, Mario Galaxy or Skyward Sword just as much). Long story short: fanboys are just sucker who miss lot of great games.
Awesome! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to experience these games on the deus. I will definitely make a purchase the first chance I get. =)
Unrelated … It is interesting how Naughty Dog’s characters have become more human with each generation. Crash -> Jak -> Drake.

at least we know now why they pulled the backwards compatibility function. There’s money to be made from recycling. oh, and stop being bitch!

whether sony are doiing this for money is irrelevant. the fans want it, and they buy these hd collections, s o obviously they will. if no-one wanted them, they wouldnt release them.
not to be a dick, but the original xbox didnt have that many games to have a hd collection. well, not in they way that there was 2 or 3 in the series.
i can think of doom 3 and resurection, but then they are on pc.

For those of you who haven’t played these games I guess this is a good deal.
Not sure who handled the HD Remastering process of this collection but this look like crap. Jaggies are everywhere, and what the heck was that, 720p? Seriously, where the heck is Bluepoint Games (a.k.a. the king of HD-remaster)? Bring back the 1080p glory, if not then at least let them run at 60fps (outside of 3D mode), with MLAA, I mean it’s not like Jak really pushed the limit of the PS2 as much as other titles that Bluepoint Games handled. I can’t believe Sony let some slop-job handle the HD-remastering process of Naughty Dog’s titles. Forget this… I ain’t picking it up until the price drops below ten.

I don’t know how to build a gaming PC, and buying one simply costs way too much to consider, and it’s not like the emulator for PS2 games works all that great on the PC either (unlike Dolphin.) But that’s beside the point, I’m saying if Bluepoint Games was to handle this collection, the quality would’ve been better than this slop-job. $40 is a rip-off for a HD-remastered collection of this quality.
Getting DAY ONE! All PS3 owners should own these games!
