I remember that in analize of the spec ops the line, show the version of the ps3, xbox 360 as they were equal, but in analize the Eurogamer shows the truth,
the xbox 360 version is better in everything
remembering to put the xbox 360 in 1080p is important, with its good system upscaling the picture is much more sharper than the ps3.
yes makes all the difference, , I’ve compared several games,and 99% of the games is always much better and sharper in 1080p upscaling, than 720p.

the fact that the xbox 360 can do a great upscaling to 1080p, in all games, is a great advantage.

They look near identical to me.
Looks like PS3 wins on the backgrounds, but not the character models.
ps3 looks a tiny bit sharper, that maybe down to gamma diferences, resi 5 was sharper on 360 and ran better than the ps3 but had some heavy screen tearing at points, so its probably going to be be close to a tie when the full analysis has been done.
RE5 had QAA on PS3. They probably ditched it this time which is why it looks sharper.

PS3 version looks more aesthetically pleasing and has a more vibrant bloom effect. Not to mention the the overall contrast actually favors PS3 more this time around than Xbox 360. How strange…in Resident Evil 5 it was a different story. Well, at least the Xbox 360 version gets DLC first but I’m still be picking this up for PS3 especially if the performance trumps the Xbox 360 version.
Looks the same, the textures quality are the same it’s the lighting effects that has a little difference. Actually this game will play the same so no matter which system you play this it’s ok, and this is still a demo,..I think game developers are getting used to the PS3 hardware now so there are more better multi-platform games that is coming out on the PS3 now. But too bad They are late because I already build a new gaming computer and I am back to PC gaming, sharper graphics and textures on games. I gave my PS3 to my brother so I only have my XBOX 360 now because I have a lot of downloaded games on my XBOX 360 hardrive so it will stay with me for a while,..

Well, it’s an odd one this one.. In most of the screens the ps3 has a slight egde in both textures, AA and lighting, but in a few shots it’s somewhat the other way around. I’m thinking the differences will, as with most of the recent releases, will be too small to actually matter in any kind of even close to significant way. I’m betting the ps3 will edge this one slightly, but i’m pretty confident that enjoyment of the game will be exactly the same on both platforms. Looks good too

It seems that the simple act of a being as gracious in victory as in defeat is a lost art to you.
I downloaded the two demo’s and apart from a few demo bug’s(Well lets just hope they are)There realy is not much defference,There were some pixel problems on the floorboards of a building on the 360 version and a missing shadow or two on the ps3 version,slightly better bloom lighting on the ps3 and slightly better framerate on 360 when you whent outside,But realy it was not a problem etherway’both look great’I just hope they fix those tiny problems for when it comes out”But looking good on both so far,This is how it should be’A game looking so close to echother on different machine’s,big shout to capcom for this’and to Lenz for being a Top site.
Lighting is more pronounced in PS3 version. Texture maps and filtering seems slightly better on PS3 though on the odd occasion it favours the 360. Gamma differences are the main thing. I normally prefer darker but in this instance it looks like the 360 needs to be dialled up a notch.
On the PS360 Youtube comparison the frame rate was 50/50. Some areas held up better on PS3 (the inside video), other scenes were better on 360 (the outside video). Looks like the 360 is v-synced this time around too. Seems like it’s going to be a close H2H but so far favouring the PS3 imo.

I’m more interrested to see what you two “moron twins”, come up with for this Head-to-Head… Clearly, the PS3 version looks alot more attractive than the shitbox version; not to mention, the PS3 version demo, has “Absolutly No Screen Tearing” like the shitbox version.
So, let’s look at what we have so far; Sharper image, no screen tearing, exact same texters (if not, better looking texters on PS3, do to better resolution), very little to no, slowdown, and a more vibrant color sceme…
But the real Analysis will tell all, and I can’t wait… Actually, I think I’m more interrested to watch Android and Buying suffer for a few weeks with this Head-to-Head; twiddling their thumbs, making ever excuse in the book on why, these screens simply have to be a shitbox win, while the truth is painfully obvious to them.

Um… Actually, I did see the Digital foundry Face-off for Tekken Tag Tournament and besides, the authors obvious nitpicking of the most rediculous and suptle findings, there wasn’t any clear winner for that game… So, it was a tie, reguardless of anyone’s opinions.
Let’s not confuse the situation of Borderlands 2 and Resident Evil 6′s Head-to-Head screens with those past Head-to-Head shitbox wins for all those dud games, 80% of people won’t even play… These are clearly AAA titles that people, actually want to play, Android; Like I told you before, you can have Tranformers; The graphics for that game, were shit on “BOTH” consoles.
The problem with you Android is, you try to hide your true fan-nerdism behind this, smarmy attitude but, it actually just come off as pitifulness; Just give it a rest already… We’ve all been in this website long enough to know that, shitbox doesn’t always get to “ride in the sun set” with every Head-to-Head and Analysis. @ Android123- You’re such a dumbass, their sole reason why they chose Tekken 6 on 360 was mostly due to the PS3 having an optional installation, which Namco could of either made it mandatory or simply not requiring it since SSF4 didn’t require it on PS3, it’s understandable why they chose it for 360….. You’re talking about a Japanese game failing on PS3, how about L.A. Noire(3 discs) & Battlefield(2 discs), both American games, which needed to be installed, moron!!!

Anyway, it felt kinda strange playing this after experience the smooth flow of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. I guess I need to boot up Dark Souls and run around Blight Town for a bit.

The result of these head2head review is good for those people who owned both the PS3 and XBOX 360 so they will know which version is the best to buy and It’s fun to read the comments here…:-)

PS3 version looks cleaner, and seems to have better texture work overall….which is odd it was the other way around for RE5. It doesn’t matter really I have always played the RE series on Sony’s Machines that’s what ‘m going with this time around.Hopefully performance is equal on both.
The PS3 version has better contrast and slightly sharper,the 360 version seems to have a slight haze as if brightness turned up a bit too much,other than that the textures are same,small lighting differences here and there,totaly depending on personal preference.
Pretty equal in terms of visuals from what i have seen in these pics,let’s see the performance analysis.
Also the PS3 has started to pick up the pace lately,now multiplatform games seem to be much closer than they used to be back in 1-2 years ago.

I’m very pleased that there’s going to be zero screen tearing in both versions.
the only difference i see here is just a gamma correction difference, I can call a tie just because come textures look better on 360, other on ps3 but only by small margin.

It’s nice to see such little difference apart from the gamma/contrast. According to the ps360 website the performance is slightly better on the xbox 360 but we’re dealing with a demo so it’s not 100% final. I’m giving this one a tie since neither of them deals a decisive victory blow IMO. I can’t wait to get my hands on the PC version though, if it ever comes out.
wow okay the 360 version looks so washed out and just awful. leons hair looks like RE4 gamecube hair. ps3 looks natural and has detail. the floorboards are clear and detailed vs the 360 version. theres no definition in the leather jacket in 360. clearly the ps3 reigned supreme. with the game being so big, i figured the 360 version was going to be compressed vs ps3 blu ray disc. as the console cycle goes longer, games are really benefiting from the blu ray space. 360 version is really bad, blurry, washed out and just ugly
The differences, as with most games as of late, is really small. There’s no night and day differences anymore (except for some few really shoddy titles), and this one is tight. To my eyes, the ps3 looks slightly better in most screens. The textures, lighting and AA seems more consistent, but in a few shots it seems the other way around. I have a hard time believing anybody would notice this on the go, but i think the ps3 will edge it.

@ AriesSiren i have never been or will be a fanboy, i have resi 5 on ps3 because i dont like screen tearing, if resi 6 has none on 360 and has a more stable framerate then i will get that version, i have no time for imbiciles such as youreself who think that whoever does not like there opinion is a fanboy, i have both consoles and enjoy both equally, ive no time for some of the idiots that come on here stoking fanboy flames, thats not me and it never will be.
I dunno you guys but I’ve already downloaded the demo on X360,which performed exactly like what we have seen from above. I have always imaged the aspect of lighting effect could be rendered better on X360, thus the reality played against me all the time!
On the other hand,I’ve stumbled across the latest demo comparison video regarding the frame-rate on both platforms during net surfing. As the result,the frame-rate on X360 seemed to be a little bit higher and more stable than that on PS3,probably it could explain why the texture and effect obviously run low on X360.

It’s close, but the PS3 does seem to look a little better in some screen shots. Look at the PS3 coming on lately! I’m proud of that ugly little overpriced blu-ray player! It’s obviously a little too late in the game but maybe next gen the PS4 might actually stand a chance against the next Xbox juggernaut.
I’ve just played all the scenarios on the Xbox 360 demo today. My main problem, is the washed out lack of vibrant picture and the blur when something is close (like it just goes out of focus). I feel like the game is either too dark and you can’t see well, or you turn up the brightness it is completely washed out (faded). I hope this is just a bad gamma setting for the demo. I tried to tweak the number “6″ should barely be visible on the brightness setting as well. Of course, those brightness test pictures are never right on games anyway. I will try the PS3 demo tonight to enjoy the game with some vibrance and sharpness.
We won’t really be able to tell until the final game comes out from the looks of it.
Also, on another note. Metal Gear Solid Rising in Japan has been canceled for the Xbox 360, but is still coming out to other countries. It seems that Japan is fazing out the Xbox 360 in their own market. Makes sense, 360 consoles didn’t sell well over there. Me thinks that the PS3 versions of the games are going to get better with multi-platform titles from Japan.
The PS3 looks sharper and not as bright. Plus from what i can see, the 360 looks blurry on most of the screenshots. Good job Capcom, finally someone knows how to use the superior PS3 hardware. Now if they can keep this up with DMC I will be so happy.
Finally tried out the 360 demo last nite and i have to say im rather disappointed about this game. Even the 360 had framerate issues, but above that, i found the game mechanics and gameplay to be extremely awkward and frustrating. Feels even less like Resi than 5 did.

Another undoubtable PS3 screenshot win. We need some Analysis’ done though as that can change things VERY quickly.
By the looks of the demo screens, PS3 is slightly brighter, has more bloom to the lighting, sharper edges, and the textures are sharper and pop out more. Overall, PS3 version of the demo looks better, but it’s still just a demo. Have to wait and see when the retail comes out, because we’ve seen demo’s completely one-sided and horrible in the past.
Come on, guys. Sure PS3 wins some and 360 wins some, but there’s no need to be juvenile. We shouldn’t worry about which version will be better. I just hope this game will be all it’s chalked up to be.

It may or may not look better but that demo was bad!! I was gutted at how poor this game was! Im a fan of res evil from part one but it keeps getting worse… It felt more like a gears rip off than a RES EVIL game…. that demo has killed my interest and a couple of mates interest who got the demo on 360… Also with regards to picture issues… PS3 is very versitile when it comes to display… i use a sony bravia tv and its stunning on there, deep blacks and super sharp… my brother uses a LCD TV (not sony) and its more washed out… all down to how you set your TV up …but sony products combined work very well together!
Received the full game on Saturday (uk) shop to always send games early, anyway I got the ps3 version due to having resi 5 on ps3, I’ve only played about 2 hours and I’m quite impressed, it certainly looks a lot cleaner than 5, there’s no sharing inventory with you’re ai partner, and after a short prologue were you play as Leon you can tackle the 3 different campaigns in any order, I’m playing Leon and its certainly less action oriented than 5 but I guess the other campaigns will compensate for that, anyway I’m blabbing, point is I’m finding it very enjoyable and the graphics are very good.

The gamespot reviewer openly states he hates the new style resi games so no wonder he slaughtered it, I’m halfway through leons campaign and its involving, looks good and plays well if a little to linear, the other 3 campaigns would have to be awful for me to agree with that oiks review, but im a big fan of both 4 and 5 so if you did not enjoy the demos you probably wont enjoy this game.
