well here on display yet again is the classic Sony Defense Force play number 2. When the system’s been out so long that you can’t really use play number 1 anymore then resort to personal attacks. Buying, why is it we never hear from you when the Xbox loses? I agree the box has this one in the bag. The differences aren’t that huge but the dev obviously leaned towards the box architecture.
The PS3 hardware is superior. And you know that. Its just too complicated for the average developer to utilize without having to spend a sh*t load of money to do so.

If someones only experience with Blu-ray is by using the PS3, then you haven’t experienced Blu-ray. A normal Blu-ray player has several diffent pre-set screen and sound options to choose from on-the-fly as well as custom video and sound setup. You don’t get that with the PS3.
The PS3 came out a year after the 360. It would have been nice if it didn’t have a sub-par graphic chip. It would be great if the cell processor was specialized for video games instead of multi-tasking servers and could easily be exploited for video games.

Firstly, It seems to me you haven’t fully explored the Blu-ray facilities on the PS3. It is a fantastic player, especially when it first came out. So much so, many reviewers used the PS3′s Blu-ray facilities as the bench mark on how to score stand alone players. Considering how expensive stand alone players were at the time, the fact Sony were able to include such a quality player in the console was nothing short of amazing. Check your facts, read ome reviews.

it’s a good game by all accounts, but hardly great, with the reaction tending to be to this game that it’s all been seen and done before, but better. It seems like a game that’s well made, but other than that, it’s just fairly average/good.
As for the epic win. Really? You are claiming epic wins on games like this now? it’s 360 win no doubt, but gamma differences do ps3 no favours here either. But Epic????????? the game itself will barely register on most people’s radar, let alone make them run out and buy it.

Typical case of higher contrast in the X360. One can reach higher differences playing with the tv settings. I did for testing few times. The only clear difference is the picture of the back head. But in the next pictures the darkness kills all details in the X360.
Still, I think it wold be about time that developers with a super ego take out their names from the games. I can’t stand it.

I’d like to have seen the over priced internet ready blu ray player release been better but I’m also glad that they didn’t dumb down the Xbox release for parity’s sake. Developers programming for the lowest common denominator over priced internet ready blu ray player for parity is never a good idea. That’s why multi console release games first developed on the over priced internet ready blu ray player then ported to the superior Xbox 360 are extremely close in parity and not the other way around. dont really see the point of these any more, if one version is slightly superior in graphics it can still lack in the performance, they should just do a full head to head when there ready, i would love to know the age of some of the people who leave replies on here, you act more childish than my 6 year old son, its really quite pathetic.
Guys, don’t undersell this. I’m biased towards PS3 a bit, but here, the differences are pretty big. Apart from lower resolution textures in some cases, there also appears to be a general resolution deficit on PS3, hence the sharper image on X360, and the latter definitely also benefits from a noticeable AA advantage. The only redeeming quality I can see for PS3 is that in some shots the lighting seems to be more natural, but without proper context it’s hard to say which is technically more correct. All in all, pretty bad port anyway, for this day and age. PS3 definitely could do a lot better, and deserves a lot better.

Screenshot comparisons are pretty useless. We want to know framerate analyses, screen tear analyses, loading times etc.

Lens of Truth please help me understand what is going with your website. Before you used to have the analysis about day and day with the release of the game. Being a dual console owner I used to use this site to decide which version to buy. Since, the end of last year this site is so freaking late it is of no use to me or any dual console owner buying a new game within the first week.

What a shock! Easy and so clear win for Xbox 360. But, graphics is not all. Performance is the most important thing if you want entertaining experience. Some games is better on PS3 and some on Xbox 360. I own ALL consoles and I say…Mega Drive and good OLD NES is the best consoles ever.

360 looks better to me in most of these pictures… However, when playing the betas, ps3 looked better in action on my tv.. now either this site is full of shit or i havent optimized my 360 settings.. the game looks crappy either way so who cares.. 360 is the best main stream game machine due to its ram.. But it has a terrible selection of unique titles other than shooters.. Very strange how a game like Last of Us just isnt possible on 360 yet these ports look better on it
i think your right that the xbox can’t do certain games ps3 can due to the blueray ps3 has but its also the same for games like gears of war and bayonetta, gears of war 3 uses alot of alpha textures which ps3 struggles with so you could’nt do that.Same with why bayonetta struggled on ps3 it was the use of alpha in the game.Theres also games like red dead and elder scrolls to but i get your point that games like uncharted can only really be done on ps3 because of the blueray, its not because of anything else really.
Both consoles have there strong points but i think when they make a game on xbox with more ram free they then struggle to get the port up to scratch on ps3 because the game is designed around xbox architect. at the end of the day they are both old tired machines now and its time to move on, i can’t believe they still push out games they do now but if were honest something is always being sacrificed.
Both consoles have done great things for gamers in there own way and you got to have the competition or things would’nt be as good for us.

Starhawk us good sub hd exclusive, and regardless good is subject to opinion as always. Loved halo sp, although it’s not what it used to be in terms of quality, with reach being relatively dull, Alan wake was meh tbh IMO , with the repetition and clunky controls failing to win me over, and the insane, nonsensical plot just boring me to death. Star hawk regarded by some as best MP shooter this gen, others were less enamoured, but that’s way it goes. Either way sub hd is sub hd however you dress it up and Alan wake is seriously sub hd

You know whats funny? Buying knows this “Sony Defense Force playbook” better then the sony fanboys here. It’s like he is so obsessed with his 360 that he wrote a novel of every single insult he has been targeted with by Ps3 owners. Man, I’m starting to feel bad for this guy. This game obviously isn’t a graphical wonder, but this game shouldn’t be judged by screenshot graphics.
Obviously the graphical look are from 2007/2008, but there’s more to it than what meets the eye. There is X-ray view where you obviously get to see through almost everything and get to see where your enemies and teammates are (you get to see who is carrying the rifles amongst the civilian population). There is 2 or 3 different views when operating the drones.
There is the “graphical dynamics” for lack of a better term. You get to shoot through cover positions and car windows, gradual destruciton of cover positions and cars and kiling enemies with enough bullets through the different cover they are hiding behind (or you are hiding behind). The way the car windows get shot out is awesome.
There is the sensor grendade where your enemies will be marked out from amonsts the civilian population and behind cover and hiden behind walls without using x-ray view.
You get to select your primary and secondary weapons and customize every area of your primary and secondary weapons before each mission and test it out on the firing range. You get to select the component (there will be many that will be unlocked, and select for power, range, control and one other option I forgot). The weapon have its rating in a bar chart type format and will be adjusted according to how you customize it.
Good cover system. When you are Storming in an environment with a lot of cars and covers to hide behind, you want to let up on the A button (360) or X button (PS3) to keep yourself from goint into cover when you don’t want to.
Good game, good fun, not great fun. I stand strait up, squat and go prone, and go into cover(camo enabled in squat and prone), mark enemies while aiming and using the drone and giving the executing order. The game will also tell you if your teammates are in position to shoot the target or if you have to wait.
Graphics don’t mean anything for this game. I think with the regular view graphics and the X-ray graphics being at the touch of the down button on the d-pad and all the cut-scene movies and everything else described above might factor into the graphics not being so beautiful.
Lots of screen tearing on the PS3 from the gameplay videos I’ve seen.
This looks like a very average and boring game to me anyway. I think I’ll stick to Max Payne 3 for a while for my Third Person Shooter fix.

Starhawk is a completely different game than Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
Starhawk is a very fast paced game, run and gun with much less strategy.
You switch between being on the ground, and flying in the air. Every mission has different stuff that you can build. The strategy is different. Very fast paced. There is NO cover system. Your character can sprint for an infinite amount of time.
Sometimes your on the ground, other times your on a big space or artifical outpost, sometimes your trasitioning from ground to flying, to vehicle. The 360 D-pad would be advantagous in this game because some of the weapons you collect default to the corner/diagonal directional position on the d-pad.
It’s a fast paced shooter, where you are traveling from place to place quickly. One rifle is all you need because you’ll be collecting ammo from dead enemies and boxes all the time. The rifle seems to have an almost unlimited shooting range.
Fast paced space shooter like Halo with less weapons that allows you to build the environment to a limited degree (it’s based on the number of blue bars available), but you’re never in any one place for very long and get to enjoy that wall, or watch tower or supply bunker you built for very long before you move to the next location.
Doesnt matter if it looks better on shitbox, the reviews for the game have been pretty crap so far so the xbots can have this one. Ill continue to play the superior version of Max Payne 3 which comes one 1 disk unlike teh shitbox version which is crammed on 2 discs and is heavily compresses
Not sure where your getting your info from pal but according to DF, MP3 is slightly better on 360 and the video codec is the same bit rate on both formats hence 2 disks for 360.

I have BOTH consoles and bought the game for PS3. i agree i like the xbox controller better for shooting games so i bought a controller for the ps3 that mimes a 360 one with the joystick layout and everything. I dont play online much and dont have Live, so i figured it was more worth it to get it on ps3 because once in a while i’d like to play online. For you insecure kids saying xbox is THE BEST system, you are SERIOUSLY a sore loser. Can someone please tell me why Google Chrome doesn’t have the up to date version of LoT? When I use Google Chrome to go on this website, it still has the H2H of RE: ORC on the front page. Every browser has a similar set up like Internet Explorer.
There should be the equivalent to the Tools, and options menu found in Internet Explorer where you can delete Temporary Internet files, clear cookies, adjust security and privacy settings. You can also go into Windows Explorer/My Computer and browse to the folders and delete the temporary internet files for specific web sites. The folders for storing Temporary Internet files for Chrome, IE, and Firefox will be in different folders.
In IE there is the “Comptiblilty view” for viewing sites writen for earlier versions of IE. Also “In Private Browsing” feature which will disallow your entire browsing history from being recorded and In Private filtering options. The Security and Privacy options will allow to add sites that are trusted or are restricted, and adjust how cookies are handled.
Also, it’s good to update to the latest version of your browser. If you have an old browsers, websites might not perform well on it, if at all, and some features won’t be there or won’t work.
In Internet Explorer, you go to Tools and the Options and you’ll see a bunch of buttons for Temp. Internet Files, cookies and several tabs for security and privacy.
Firfox and Crome have similar tabs. Just click around and you’ll find it. They may look a little different and go by slightly different names, but they work the same to the end user. The features you find on one browser are usually on the others or they will be on the next version.

I have this problem too, All you need to do is refresh the page. It’s just how Chrome works to make pages come up faster the next time you visit them.

I have both systems, and let me tell you the 360 looks a lot better than the PS3 version. PS3 has really faded and bland colors where the 360 looks darker and more eye appealing.
The PS3 version doesn’t look as good as the 360 version, yet it has a mandatory install of 6.5 GB (That’s right, 6.5 GIGABYTES!!!!). My mind is officially fucked…
Well, looking at videos of the game running side by side the PS3 version looks better – yet here the 360 looks better.

the truth is ubisoft don’t bother to do any favor for the PS3 ver. even PSmove can be apply greatly into this game, but they promote more for X360 kinect function just because kinect have a bigger market, gaming industries are really so realistic now…

Looks slightly better on xbob to me but its still nothing really to brag about. Guess I’ll be waiting til the full comparison. Kinda hope the xbox does win it just coz I wanna try out the kinect stuff. Doesn’t really benefit teh game at all but it still looks cool imo.
