Halo 4 information has been pretty scarce as of late, so any information, especially when it refers to Halo 4 as being the best looking Xbox 360 game ever is revealed, it’s going to cause a splash…
When asked by a Twitter user if 343′s upcoming shooter Halo 4 would be the best looking game on Microsoft’s console, principal engine programmer of the new Halo trilogy, Corrinne Yu, replied:
“It’s the best looking game on Xbox and any other consoles we ever made and we’re all from AAA studios.So proud of team.”
So there you have it folks. If you thought Gears of War 3 was as far as the Xbox 360 could reach graphically, 343 want’s to change your mind. Of course, we’ll just have to wait and see — Halo 4 is due for a release Fall, 2012, exclusively on Xbox 360.

Shock, game developer says our game looks amazing better than all other games. How many times have we heard this before.
meh. EVERY developer says this about thier new title coming out. We’ll see. Be doin pretty good to top Gears 3 thats for sure.
Eurogamer has some video footage, the in game cut scenes look OK, but game-play looks shocking as always. Will these blind xbox devs ever learn.

the only Halo game that ever looked good for its console was Halo 2 IMO.
Meh, “best-looking game” doesn’t combine with “xbox 360″
lol? this entire site has been evidence to prove you otherwise. how many multiplatform games have looked better on the 360.
Let’s not get into the whole “which console has the better graphics” argument rubbish pls. Instead just hope the developer lives up to the expectation and Halo 4 does indeed end up looking really great on the 360.
@Flanker, your comment is irrelevant considering none of those games look better than the best looking exclusive games.
this is coming from the same people that bullshotted the hell out of the halo anniversary remake, which turned out to be a pretty big failure. It didnt look any better than other HD remakes. and these guys were saying that it was going to look as good or better than halo reach (which doesnt even look that good to begin with).
so, I have a hard time trusting these guys when it comes to claims of graphics.

Totally defeating the purpose of HD-remastering (a.k.a. quick cash-in for minimal efforts), isn’t it?

MGS HD collection was remastered by Bluepoint games. They did the following remakes: God of War, God of War 2, ICO, Shadows of the Colossus, MGS: Snake Eater, MGS: Peacewalker, and MGS2. That’s 7 remakes they had to invest resources in while 343i only invested in 1 remake. When you invest more into 1 project obviously the results will be better. I think they invested too much into the Halo remake (considering the end result), and should have put that much more effort into Halo 4.
I’ll only start caring once they’re able to convince me that this game will look better than Gears of War 3. Beside, they would’ve been better off saying that it’ll be the best looking shooter on the Xbox 360 instead. Because in my opinion, the best looking game on the Xbox 360 is Forza Motorsport 4. So yeah, unless 343i can find a way to make Master Chief looks more glorious than those cars in Autovista mode.

Halo 4 is not Sub-HD. Its a Native 720p 30fps game, just like killzone and uncharted.
and as for someone to call halo 4 graphics terrible, they must have never watched any gameplay footage. and as for the gameplay, it plays like halo should have always played.

I highly doubt it would the best looking game, aren’t they using the same engine? all the halos had bright cartoony graphics. like actually. the lighting was the biggest low, was it even HDR?
I don’t see how it could top off Gears 3
They apparently have guys from Naughty dog working there too, so they’ve implied it looks better than Uncharted 2/3…
