In this First Look we take a glimpse at the Starhawk Multiplayer Beta demo. With a mixture of strategy and vehicle combat, combined with the third person shooter motif, Starhawk has some potential to break away from the pack of Lemmings we are confronted with as of late in the industry. Played a little bit of this last night, it is interesting to say the least. I’m not real sure what to really think about it at the moment.
This game is looking to be one of the, if not the, best TPS in gaming. Better than Uncharted, and far superior to Gears 3. The blend of RTS and TPS is phenomenal, and the gameplay is solid as well. If the SP and Horde Mode are as good lightbox has made them out to be, then this game will be absolutely fantastic. Props to Sony and their first party for another awesome exclusive. Mabye the Nextbox will offer games almost as good as these next gen.

Wow all that I’m seeing here are muddy textures, fogging tricks to hide short draw distances, and nothing that even remotely looks as good as Gears of War 3 (which was in the top 10 selling list of 2011 where NO overpriced internet ready blu ray player games appeared.)
This one get’s a meh.
Maybe the next ps3hdwii will have fidelity to at least match this generations SUPERIOR Xbox 360 withour the need for multi gig M A N D A T O R Y installs.

Lol buying1999 is mad. Early in the year and the PS3 is already getting some kick ass exclusive games. The eyetoyBox 360 just can’t seem to keep up at all.

Regardless of what you say, this game looks badass. A fresh idea with lots of variety. You wouldn’t know about “fresh ideas” or “variety” though. You’ve been playing to much Disneyland.
PS3 will reign supreme, have fun with your childrens games on kinect.

Oh man it’s good to see you attacking me again ROFL. It’s not my fault that being an Xbox supporter has made me start holding games to a higher standard and this game just doesn’t cut the mustard. I would hope that this game looks better before it’s release for you guys.

Of course you don’t have to do installs on any games. There’s no games coming out for 360 to do installs on.
I know plenty more than you about gaming, been playing them since NES. I don’t just play sub-par shooters like Halo.

On that note, I love how you toss around the terms quality and superiority, yet you give absolutely nothing to back it up. You talk about this game being unnoriginal and boring, yet there is nothing else on consoles like it. Since you say 360 exclusives are top quality compared to the likes of this, why don’t back you that up with an Xbox 360 exclusive that beats this. I mean a game that has better graphics, more original gameplay, something that just blows this out of the water, and it has to be an Xbox 360 exclusive. It cannot be multiplatform in any way. Only on the Xbox 360 platform. Any answer that sidesteps is an autmatic forfeight and admittance that PS3 software is of superior quality to 360. Have fun.
I had a little go today and was realy impressed with how i couldant pull myself away from this game,gona play some more later as its so playable ang fun.
Loving the beta. Looks like we have another great MP experience for PS3. Honestly feel sorry for teh xbots who don’t get to experience such asesome games like this and all they have are gaylo gears of war which are both lame ass shooters.
Been playing the beta.. it’s really cool and fresh after playing fps most of the year. Xbots, how can you criticise when you only had 2 big releases in 2011. The only awards you won were best racer for forza 4. Gears 3 didn’t get nominated for GOTY at all or best graphics. Infact gears 3 didn’t win anything and lost the title ‘best 360 game ‘ to a multiplat.. aka Batman. Sorry but you got no room to talk about quality. Ps3 games won best graphics 3 years in a row. 2009 uncharted 2, 2010 god of war 3, 2011 uncharted 3. So you see, whether you think 360 is best exclusives is your opinion and just that. Ps3 on the other hand has actual awards for it, so becomes more then just opinion and has more credibility. 360 lacks in quality, quantity and originality.
2012. Other then halo 4 you getting most likely PC ports and more kinect games.
Ps3 in 2012 has already got games lined up. Starhawk, twisted metal, dust514, last guardian, the last of us, possible god of war 4?.
As for sales (coz that’s your only argument) if you get a system that has loads of choice to choose from, games are gonna have less sales as not every ps3 user into same game. Unlike 360 where you would still be playing 2010 games if not for gears3 and forza. So 2 games that are new on 360,logically these should sell more as you have nothing else to look forward to.
Hardware sales. Go check out vgchartz in annual sales..ps3 out sold 360 worldwide in 2009, 2010 and most of 2011fact!. So you ain’t even got the sales argument, not that sales make any difference apart from a selling point for each manufacturer.
You can’t even say about psn hack as xbl is being hacked as we speak and has done best part of 2011 and on going. Microsoft don’t even know how to stop it, nor are they doing much to stop it. MS believe that denying being hacked is going to make it go away lol.
