Ubisoft confirmed yesterday (thanks to some leaked information) that Assassin’s Creed III will indeed be taking place during the American Revolution. Today, the ACIII pipes keep bursting as now screenshots from the game, which first popped up on Reddit [via Joystiq], are making their way around the Internet at a rapid pace.
Check them out below and let us know what you think.

This actually looks pretty badass, and just like Revelations, it’ll probably be better on the always superior PS3.
….and idiotic comments like your has always to exist
Lol, I’m just sitting here waiting for buying1999 to see your post…
ACHEIEVEMENT UNLOCKED. Interest restored.
I never really played any of the previous titles, still sitting in my steam account, but damn if this doesn’t look glorious. I may throw down day 1. But for which platform…
PC if you have a good gaming rig. Or PS3 over 360 because the last AC was better on PS3 and PS3 seems to get alot of free stuff lately. The first games were superior on 360 in every way but now time has passed and Ubisoft seems to have nailed the correct PS3 coding in their heads.
theyre just spittin em out now..cant think of anythin excitin the developers could do with the franchise, looks ok, but im not excited
Ohohohoho…I would love to drive my hidden blade through the hearts of those famous historical figures…
@Lens of Truth
Oh, why did you take away the “edit” feature? I would rather that you take away the rating feature instead, as I make typos more often than I feel like clicking those thumb up/down.
it looks almost like concept art…if they are screenshots then the game is going to look amazing
i really dont like the american revolution but i guess Ubisoft wants to touch the patriotic side of US gamers and get some good sales, i mean, almost nobody was interested in Revelations and now suddenly every comment i read on many gaming sites are like..this is the first AC game im gonna buy …anyway, the game still looks amazing and even tho revelations was kind of meh im still looking forward to AC3
Revelations is awesome. Brotherhood is great. AC2 is amazing. AC3 will be epic!!! and too add to this remember ubisoft spoils PS3 with exclusive dlc and free extras and with revelations they finally learned how to use the PS3 more and it came out looking better graphically now all they need to do is get the frame rate and screen tearing fixed so AC3 is GOTY and people remember that The Last of Us isn’t going to be released in 2012 but im 100% sure it will be GOTY for 2013 =^)
Actually according to digital foundry, the last assassin creed game was slightly better on 360 as always.
But never let that get in the way of the deluded fanboys lol.
I like the change of direction this new one is taking, was getting a bit bored with the similarity of the other games in the series.
The 360 version of AC:Revelations performed better by 1-2fps and had about 2% less screen tearing. The PS3 version of the game looked graphically superior AND came with the original Assassin’s creed on the same game disc.
Just admit the PS3 version of AC:R was better then the 360 version without saying anything bad about the game, or the platform it is being played on. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. If the PS3 wins anything you always feel the need to call the owners of the console deluded for thinking it was a good win, but it doesn’t work the other way around for you.
I could go on past H2H’s that are 360 wins and you ALWAYS say EPIC win for the 360. If the PS3 wins you have to downplay it and act as if it doesn’t matter or just call the game trash in the first place.
I’m getting quite close to generalizing you, PS3FTW, Buying1999, SYNK and J-P-M under the same category, i’m sure you don’t want to be there. The amount of double standards you have made is ridiculous, same with the amount of hypocrisy that your posts tend to include.
I’m guessing you will disregard my post and continue doing what you are doing, so feel free too. But be warned, the respect given to you by me will be that of the amount I give to the trolls of this website.
I’m sure you’d have absolutely no problem flocking to the SSX LOT analysis instead if they deem the 360 version superior. lmao
I don’t remember anything being said about superior graphics regarding the ps3 version of revelations in the digital foundry face off.
I do remember they mentioned certain areas of the ps3 version was 4-5 fps behind the 360 version in the same area.
The ps3 one struggled at times compared to the 360 version.
Don’t blame me, I never wrote the face off lol.
Looks like Ubisoft are tactically sabotaging their own pipes…
i would love it if the game was like red dead redemption!
Look at the last pic!
Friends plz, I know this is not the right place to ask but, how I fix the red screen in my ps3??? It was working fine but when I turned it up today the screen poped up ;x
This is quoted fromthe SOny Forums via Google search:
“It’s actually an error message generated by the OS. It’s sort of like the YLOD, but that error is generated by the bios.
The RSoD is usually caused by one of three things.
1.) Bad firmware! You will need to reinstall it.
2.) Bad hard drive! The HDD went completely dead or the portion that the OS uses went bad.
3.) A part of the CPU or RAM isn’t working properly. For example, one of the 8 cores in the Cell processor might have died.”
So I guess contacting Sony would be the best option.
