That’s right folks, Netherrealm Studios has announced that the infamous Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm St. is in Mortal Kombat as DLC. Freddy will cost $4.99, and will be free to Season Pass subscribers. Freddy will be available August 9, on both PSN & XBL.
We must say, this is one of the cooler DLC characters of all time and is a perfect fit for Mortal Kombat. What do you think, cool, dumb, are you buying him? Let us know and sweet dreams, mwhahahaha!

The modeler needs to be fired, Freddy only has the bladed glove on one hand not both! And why would they have the more recent Freddy in the game instead of Robert Englund.
Yes, he only has one claw in the movies, but that would no doubt have made for a really odd and awkward animation. What would he do with his opposite hand? Punch them? That would strike me as far less in line with the character then just taking the easy route and giving him two claws.
MK is doin great. I wonder how they get all the licence to those chars. This Freddy guy is awhole lot like the “King of Fighter’s” Choi too. Its a good thing in a way hehe maybe the moveset similar to the little claw guy in KOF too.

how about kenshiro from hokuto no ken as a dlc character? the way he dresses, along with his brutal fighting style, would make him a good fit in the mk universe. Not to mention that there are already characters in the mk universe who practice martial arts (like everyone, it’s a fighting game derp) and shoot energy, so he would fit in quite nicely.
And since the mk games deal in dimensional travel, they could just have a random portal to his post apocalyptic earth (also fitting of the mk universe) open up and have him get sucked through it. done.
