It looks like a Devil May Cry HD Collection will be announced for the PlayStation 3 at E3…
A source close to Gematsu (formally Scrawl) has informed them that a Devil May Cry HD Collection will indeed be announced for the PlayStation 3 at E3. The collection will commemorate the series’ upcoming 10th anniversary. As soon as more info is available, we’ll let know. Gematsu is also reporting that another collection will be announced, but their source has asked them to keep quiet on that one. Gematsu teases us by saying this unannounced collection will be “a dark, dirty, and dangerous collection.” What could it be?

real f*ckin’ winner. DMC1 & DMC3 were truly great games. DMC2 was so so, but still a nice addition to the trilogy.

This will be worth it for DMC3 alone.
Hopefully it’s of the SE where you can play as Vergil.
Hopefully, we’ll see the character models and environmental textures re-polished/touched-up a notch, rather than just upscale and revamp the whole perspective to widescreen. Having the pre-rendered clips remastered, or remake would be nice (Sly Collection’s upscaled pre-rendered clips were simply ridiculous.) Heck, I could even go as far as demanding SSAO being implemented, and replacing the old lighting/shadow system with the modern one, but knowing Capcom, they probably wouldn’t even be bothered to put in any improvement at all, so I’m not gonna hold my breaths.

Honestly, I have all 3 games that I purchased suring the ps2 era, the first part was outstanding, the second was a real crap, and the thirdwas good, but suffering under the shadow of the second…I will pass this one as there’s no need for such a waste pf money…
I see why sony eliminated the retrocompatibility: REFRIED PS2 GAMES..
I only bought the first dmc so for me this is a must have.I loved playing gow 1,2 in hd.This will be day one for me.
Ps2 games look bad on a HD display unless it is running in HD.I Have a Ps3 that runs Ps2 games but i never use it for em.Just too ugly too even look at.
