EA has officially announced Dead Space 3. Rumored for months now, Dead Space 3 has been confirmed for a February 2013 release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. EA has also confirmed drop-in, drop-out co-op for the game. Below is the official announcement trailer.
“Dead Space 3 will deliver action and horror on a scale that far exceeds anything we’ve done before. The game will range from the depths of space and tight, indoor corridors to a harsh new planet with explorable environments that offer new
challenges,” said Visceral VP and GM Steve Papoutsis.“For fans that love playing alone in the dark, they still can have the classic Dead Space experience that makes the franchise so unique. Likewise, players that want to share that immersive and intense experience with a friend now have that option
thanks to the addition of co-op. Either way, the action is intense, the adventure is breathtaking, and the thrills are unforgettable.”

First two were good but I’m worried that co-op may not have a positive impact. They really need to get the AI spot on for your partner should you decide to play it single player. Don’t want this to turn into another Resident Evil 5.
Wait a second, that means that I still have the option to play solo, right? I wouldn’t want to have an A.I. partner tagging along when I play the single campaign alone. Dead Space is a one man’s survival kind of adventure, let’s not ruin that.
yes, agreed. Best played with 7.1 Surround Sound, late at night, ALONE.
