UPDATE: Electronic Arts has confirmed the game’s existence. “The best kept secret in shooters just can’t be contained,” the publisher confirmed. EA says more information is expected to be revealed on April 16th.
ORIGINAL: A new (and now removed) listing from EA’s Origin store all but confirms Crysis 3 is in development.
Earlier today, EA’s Origin store listed Crysis 3 for pre-order, whoops! Other then platforms, not much else was revealed although the game’s hero will certainly have a new weapon to use in the form of a bow and arrow (see pics).
Of course until EA or Crytek comment on or confirm Crysis 3 is coming, take this as a rumor — a rumor with a great possibility of coming true. Let us know what you think on this one — is a Crysis 3 announcement imminent?

Absolute travesty. Should be PC, Orbis and Durango – as in DX11 exclusive – not current gen. Yuck. What a waste.

Crysis 2 absolutely sucked. So boring, and the MP was garbage.
You seem butt hurt right now. Crysis 2 was a great game and was held back by consoles. Crysis 3 is rumoured to be a sandbox game like crysis 1 but will take place in new york.
You’re absolutely right. Crysis 2 MP did suck and the game was actually very boring and not impressive at all.
@DMANKILLA: Since when has consoles held back gameplay? I thought Crysis 2 was boring and overrated and the multiplayer sucked.. the graphics are not the problem. So please explain your “held back by consoles” statement. Actually, I kinda liked the way the graphics looked in Crysis 2 (not as good as Killzone 3, but not much is), but the graphics were still slightly impressive. I just didn’t like the story, the repetitive gameplay and the multiplayer didn’t flow very well. Crysis 2 feels really stiff if that makes any sense.
@JustPaztik Thank you. At least someone else saw Crysis 2 for what it was. The graphics, though not impressive, were decent, but thegame itself was complete crap. The sing;e player was repetitive and boring. The multiplayer was literrally just CoD with Suit powers that imbalanced and ruined the online experience. In the end, people try to play off that it was the second coming because it’s the best looking game on 360.
In the end, Killzone 3 was the superior FPS of last year, and I hope Sony and Guerilla unveil a potential Killzone 4 at E3 this year.
couldn’t agree more… i forced myself to finish it and when the end came i was like “what the shit??!!”
Only good thing about the game was that Hans Zimmer made the theme
I hope the game is Developed with PC’s in Mind while Crysis 2 was Fun it was not as Great as Crysis 1
