The first screenshots of Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 have appeared in a new article by Wired. The shots come from a video demonstration which took a team of 14 engineers and three months of production time to complete.

The article talks about the demo showing volcano belches and burning embers mixed with swirling snowflakes, something which we must admit sounds awesome. The engine can handle millions of such particles as long as the hardware running it is powerful enough. Have a look below and let us know what you think.
