We’re finally getting a chance to see Battlefield 3 being played on a console. Apparently, the late night host Jimmy Fallon will be playing the first console version this Thursday night. Check out the details below.

This Thursday night (June 16), Battlefield 3 will be appearing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, but more importantly, we’ll be playing the game on the PlayStation 3. That’s right! We’ll be giving you the world premiere of Battlefield 3 on consoles this Thursday night when DICE’s Johan Dohl takes the stage and gives Jimmy the first crack at Battlefield 3 for the PlayStation 3. Be sure to tune in, or set your DVR to record, for the world premiere console gameplay of Battlefield 3 on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this Thursday on NBC at 12:35/11:35C!

Well the Gears 3 demo was a horrible failure on there, let’s hope this goes better.

Yeah the 360 version.
There’s little doubt that the 360 version will be the better version as is 98% of the time. Better framrates, better ssoa, better shadows, higer rez textures, much better fillrates, much less frame tearing, no mandatory installs, better, better, better. Yeah Xbox will be the better version and I’m glad you pointed that out TWIST.

Actually I meant the ps3 version since it’s the one they’re showing. It might change when the game comes out on launch but right now it’s logical to say ps3 is the better console version.

You know only the Ps3 version is playable.Fact is this is 2011 not 2007 devs know how to program alot better now.Hell alot of games this year run and look better on Ps3.So you should really keep your mouth shut until the game is out..

no need for the negativity my friend. it may not be PC caliber, but I’m sure it will be one of the better looking titles on the 360 and PS3 alike. look at it this way, it shouldn’t be the disappointment that we got from Crytek on the consoles. Dice should know how to squeeze alot of power out of these consoles, i still think that BC2 is a good looking title.

Bc2 lead was the PS3 so this isn’t very surprising. Seeing the overall graphical fidelity of say Crysis2 on consoles(when it wasn’t glitchy buggy or the framerate wasn’t stuttering) I have no doubt Bf3 will be a premier console game. There not gonna make it the best looking game on PC then phone it in on consoles… Which will be the larger portion of its community. That wouldn’t make sense.
Technically Bc2 doesn’t look bad. If they gave us Bc2 graphical fidelity with say some form of AA and no frame tearinng I for one would be more then happy.
From the looks of we’ll be getting something even better…
9 out of 10 chance this will be better on PS3. That and it will look and run better than Crysis 2, but that’s pretty much a given seeing that Crysis 2 is visually underwhelming on consoles :3
well the ps3 version so far runs a 9% higher resolution than crysis 2 on the xbox 1280 * 704 vs 1152 * 720. Crysis 2 had little to no destruction and I see bf3′s lighting to beat crysis’ lighting. Plus I don’t see why they can’t do 720p instead of going for 704p? I’m pretty sure that they can do that by release date making BF3 have a 11% higher resolution plus mlaa on the ps3

Dice said the Frostbite 2 Engine works a lot better on the PS3 than it does on the 360 but they work on it.
So we can expect all games in the future from EA are better on the PS3…Well we’re already used to it because > nearly < every game this year is running better on the PS3.
But DICE is doing a damn impressive job with that Engine.
They dissed Bobby Retardick and all COD Fans at the E3 with Battlefield 3 so hard as they said BF3 was also showed on console there and not like they believed only on PC <3

I have no doubt BF3 will be superior on PS3, even EA’s CEO is confident “EA’s PS3 game is better than their 360 game” and we know very well, that 360 has always been the lead platform for COD since MW.
FB2 running on PS3 in the NFS demo impressed me already, now my anticipation is through the roof. It’s only fair, though: 360 players get the superior version of MW3 while we get the 2nd superior version of BF3 (after PC).

DICE must be quite confident in their abilities to make the PS3 version of BF3 polished enough to debut on TV.
