Below is the latest trailer from Battlefield 3. In this trailer we actually see jets and a variety of other vehicles, such as choppers, tanks and more from the Caspian Border multiplayer map in EA/DICE’s Battlefield 3.

Wow.. that looks pretty amazing for a multiplat on a console… I doubt it wil be that good when it is released though, they have obviosly maxed it the fuck out all it can go on the PS3 and will haveto tone it down abit so it doesnt blow everyones consoels up coz that looks stunning for console
why would they tone it down? they have it running just fine, no ones console is going to blow up. i can’t tell if you’re serious or not.
Because that looks too amazing for a console, and they are showing it the best they possibly can and it looks more than great. But they will tone it down to have minimal screen tearing and can run on 6 year old hardware for long periods without any problems.

Devs do it often when showcasing their games before they come out. For example the Bioshock gameplay looked excellent, but the framerate was rubbish and I assure you they will tone down the graphics slightly on the retail version to up the framerate.
With BF3 this is amazing for the console and the very best I have seen and I suspect it will also haveto be toned down abit to ensure it will not break the consoles or have scree tearing.
I still expect it to be the best mutliplat game on the consoles graphicly.
nah, I guess the screen-tearing is a video-streaming issues. no way there will be screen-tearing in BF3.

I hope it was streaming issues because it has horrible screen tearing. It was going to be a day purchase but when I saw the PS3 footage I thought I would wait until beta.

Am I the only one who’s tired of military shooters?
There hasnt been any ‘real’ Military shooters yet though, closest is BFBC2 which is a great game I have wasted many hours [or days lol] on.
But the rest are just fake arcade games or just a poor attempt at a real military shooter.

BC was good… but not good as the original BF series
Lmao I have spent MANY hours on BFBC2 it is one of my most favorite games, infact my most favorite online multiplayer game nothing in my eyes beats it.
I have also played BF2 allot aswell but it is very old and extrmely dated and a however great game it is being so dated its not as realistic as BFBC2 by any stretch… lol
In realistic military shooters you must be able to aim down the sight atleast lmfao, let along all the dated animation and such.

Arma 2 is one of the only true military simulators seeing that you have to worry about more than shooting and it’s unforgiving and realistic as possible. It also has stunning visuals and battles that would put any other game to shame.

I haveto agree with you there, Arma 2 is pretty dam awsome in this respect, one forgets about it. But BFBC2 is just more playtable and fun, allot more than arma 2. And without that, its much less of an actuall game and just a showcase, and BFBC2′s player animation gun animation and recoil and things like that and destruction is just a big step above that also. It could be argued.
I was in awe after seeing this. Canceling my MW3 preorder right now.

Heck yeah, it was complete chaos. Helicopters, jets, tanks, hummers, all kinds of stuff going on there. It’s amazing you’ll be able to dogfight in jets or demolish buildings with a tank in the same setting. Many different types of battles within a giant war. That is what is so great about BF, it’s like a war…not a run through an unnatural maze with limits, taking turns picking each other off. Takes it to a new level. I cannot wait for this.
Self control not to spend on GPU yet… GTX260 should be fine, right?

May go for Nvidia due to PhysX. GTX 570 if I cant wait or most probably upgrade next year. GTX 670 using 28nm looks tempting
Cooler & use less power too my dream GPU.
Nvidia is probably the best bet if thats your set up. Due to good no hastle drivers. Although I have a freind who works with computers and he has all the latest best drivers for me so I dont haveto worry about that.

Well… paid for Sapphire 5850 Extreme X2 & crossfire it. Performance will beat GTX580 easily & its dirt cheap for the price & performance.
Only have 650W psu but 5850 extreme cf only need 600w so its like magick.
Gonna eat Battlefield 3 alive
