Apparently Warner Bros. has announced it has delayed Batman: Arkham City for PC into November. No reasons were given, and the console version’s date remains the same: October 18th. We’ll keep you posted as the details come in.

suxs for thoses who gave up on sony & microsoft and swiched to pc gaming. that why i always go by this. Console gaming or get the F out. When was the last time there was a good PC exclusive that wasn’t a mmo or a game that is also on consoles????
I don’t think people play on a PC for exclusives. I think they play on a PC because it mops the damn floor with a console. I don’t have a gaming PC and I still recognize that. “PC: eatin’ PS3′s and $hittin’ 360′s.”

If you want to compare apples with apples, let’s do that… Show me one PC with the hardware specs of that of the 360 and PS3, that will be able to play all of the latest and upcoming games with the fidelity, fairly constant framerates at resolutions of 1280*720 that the “inferior” consoles are able to achieve???
Let’s take Killzone 3, Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, Gears of War 3, Deus Ex, Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham City, Battlefield 3 (especially).
Yes powerful gaming PCs will always make games look better than the console counterparts, it’s quite obvious that it will. It has much more horsepower.
It’s just stupid to try and compare the two. It’s like wondering who will win a 1 mile drag race between a Bugatti Veyron and a Mini Cooper

And how exactly will this be bad for PC gaming community, exactly? The delay will be a month at most, I can’t imagine someone not being able to wait for a mere month. Beside, the PC version will be cheaper, all the while having superior graphics and performance. I can’t even begin to imagine how a PC gamer would even need to feel bothered about this at all, to be honest.

Agreed. PC gaming isn’t even gaming. It’s just a bunch of elitist pricks who think, because they spent $800 on the latest and greatest graphics card that will become obsolete in 6 months, they’re somehow better than everyone else. “PC gaming” is a very unstable system, and there isn’t even a market for it anymore, because all these a$$holes do is pirate their sh*t. BF3 will be vastly superior on PC, but it won’t even sell a tenth of what it will on PS3 and 360 seperately.

bad company 2 on the pc outsold the ps3 and xbox version dummy. Also bf3 is a pc first game and about 50% of their sales will come from the pc market
PC gaming is getting better day by day tbh. Rage will be far superior on the pc. And there is no reason not to get single player games like this on the pc especially when it is going to be far far better than the console counterpart.

The GTX 460 is 2 year old card and it can play current games just fine. The most popular video card on steam is the 9800, which is 4 years old. Herp Derp, check torrent sites like piratebay and you see people pirate games on consoles too. In fact, Gears 3 was leaked months before the release so don’t give me that BS. If there wasn’t a demand for PC gaming then why is Nvidia and AMD still making newer cards today?

I hope they fix it, I don’t want any crap like what happen last time though! I mean the game came crippled for AMD cards. You turned on Vsync and the thing performed like you were running it on a Voodoo 2! Turn it off and the thing played like it was smoking crack! Come to find out there was Arakahm Asylum gate, they purposely did that to make the cards seem inferior. BTW Vsync was set on default. What bs. The whole Physx thing is a joke too. They acted like a millions of things would get better but all it did was add some paper blowing in the wind to the level with “realistic” paper in the wind-type physics. What a joke. If there is more crap like that, I will pirate the game because it is not fair to the consumer at all.
You could have just said, “If Rocksteady doesn’t do a better job this time, I’m going to punish them, and while I’m at it I’ll risk punishing myself too by stealing it.” So you steal if it doesn’t meet your quality standards. Yeah I said it, and I don’t care. We’re talking about paying $60 to take something home that doesn’t work as it is advertised. Thats robbery in my opinion and it is bad for the consumers. Call me a low level pirate, they are low level crooks for even making their application like that. Load the game and “Whoops got ya, this game can easily run on your platform but we made it seem like it can’t because you are using our competitor’s product.” Well screw that! I’m not dissing fellow gamers and saying pc is better, consoles are better etc -no! I firmly believe that things should be fair. I mean hell we don’t even own our games, we just purchase licenses. We agree to a EULA that says we can’t file a class action lawsuit (Sony). If they made good products to begin with there would be no legal stuff like that what so ever. In these hard times, who really wants to pay their bleak hard earned money for something that is faulty. Same goes for games that have to have a 0 day patch. I have steam and I purchase my games all the time but I just can’t take that crap anymore. I think sometimes people pirate in protest.

I have a 360 and a pc. Both platforms are nice. Some people just prefer computers because their work involves computers too so you never know.
I don’t even have a PC, yet, and am convinced the PC is the King. I’m glad to hear the franchise won’t put out a buggy game. It shows me they care. I’m sure this game will be TITS.
Consoles are for convenience not the best experience.

i totally agree with your post. i used to be a huge fan of consoles due to their accessibility but ever since learning how to build my own PC i’ve been an avid PC gamer. i have all 3 major current consoles, but i just prefer my PC. I also find it satisfying when something goes wrong to fix it. as nerdy as this is, it’s a good man and machine bonding lol XD. botton line is, for best experience go PC. You can plug in controllers, race wheels, use mouse and keyboard, etc. Imo PC has always provided the best experience and will continue to do so assuming devs take time to optimise for both amd and nvidia cards.
