Ubisoft has announced that the first bits of DLC for their upcoming games, Assassin’s Creed 3, and Far Cry 3 will be available on the PlayStation 3 first as timed exclusive content.
No other details were revealed although SCEA boss Jack Tretton confirmed the AC3 DLC will be available day one from the game’s release. So that makes two games (Assassin’s Creed 3 and Tomb Raider) which will have day one DLC. Uhhh, thanks?

It is exclusive assassins creed 3 & Farcry 3 content (singleplayer missions) for ps3, its not timed exclusive, but ps3 only. and it is the Xbox 360 that will have the timed exclusive tomb raider dlc.
I guess Ubisoft are trying to make up for thier inability to make effective use of the PS3, by doing shitty ports.

Dude………..its Ubisoft. They do shitty PS3 ports. This exclusive content is obviously trying to placate the PS3 community.
‘Dude’ assassins creed games have never been a port for the ps3, and the Farcry 2 port was great. The only bad ports i remember was the ghost recon series… Let me explain how business works, Sony offered a deal to ubisoft, (this is just an example) that deal includes that Sony will do the commercial side of things in exchange for some exclusive content. It has NOTHING to do with if its a port.
hey! don’t be a condescending dic*head! I know exactly how business works. I am just having cheap shots as it pisses me off that every PS3 Ubisoft game loses the H2H compared to Xbox. Especially the AC series. Of course it has nothing to do with a port. what would I know? I don’t work for them. it just seems like a cheap shot to give exclusive content to the console that always loses out when it comes to parity.
It’s like Ubisoft are saying- “hey, we know the PS3 version is going to be inferior, so here is some exclusive content to shut you up and strengthen sales with multi-console owning customers.”

Yeah I think the AC H2H ps3 won so that kinda means you jumping the gun abit lol.
Oh and assassins creed 3 gets 4 exclusive ps3 only missions (just like in L.A noir) and exclusive ps3 only unlockables.

just because the PS3 has a few games with eye candy graphics doesn’t make up for half a decade of shitty ports, and its not the developers fault that sony placed the ps3 on the market thinking all developers would jump to coding software for hardware that has never been used for game applications before, and from what been said so far about sony’s new direction with its playstation orbis, it wont ever be used again.
also the word exclusive in the gaming industry is dying, next generation consoles will be the last generation we will see 3rd party exclusives, even though their a rare thing to see this gen.
