Some screenshots which are supposedly leaked from Bethesda’s Doom 4 have been making their way around the Internet over the last 24 hours. In other Doom 4 news, Bethesda was quick to clarify to Game Informer’s Jim Reilly via Twitter that the game is NOT canceled, after rumors yesterday said as much.
Bethesda has yet to comment on the screens so right now we’ll just have to sit and wonder. Have a look below and let us know what you think.

Wow. This looks amazing. There’s zero doubt that this game will be the best Doom yet and will be awesome on the SUPERIOR Xbox 360. Man this is going to rock. John Carmack and his team are legends and Doom is their baby. This is going to be the best shooter ever.
I.D tech 5 running on the SUPERIOR Xbox 360 with superior performance, 60 fps with little to no dynamic rez (not like the struggling over priced internet ready blu raly player), and no M A N D A T O R Y install.

Actually BUYING1999 the install For Rage kinda was mandatory. The texture pop in was very bad with out the install to the 360. I’m sure Doom will be the same way if they are using Megatextures again.

You’re an idiot. The best DooM was the first one, the 2nd one made me want to cry b/c of the amount of frustration I endured to complete that game and the 3rd was “Meh..” I bet you don’t even like the franchise anyway, you don’t deserve to play something I.D. has created. Also, Bethesda better leave the PS3 version of the game alone because they ALWAYS f*** up on it.

Without an install and running off the discs, RAGE was not only the worst looking but also worst performing of the three platforms. Secondly, even with an install, it still averaged a lower framerate than the PS3 version. As long as ID learns from their past mistakes and better optimizes this engine, I’ll give Doom 4 a chance. Lol but damn these screenshots look EXACTLY like RAGE. Just hoping this doesn’t turn out to be like RAGE where the engine looks gorgeous in stills but horrible in motion.

I agree with UNSCARRED785, it was kinda mandatory. And I strongly agree with ASTEROC1138 (not the part of BUYING1999 being stupid because I don’t think so… his comments make me laugh, and are a relief from all of the fights that usually are on the comment section)
But yes, the 1st DOOM was awesome, the Inferno Episode was great. And on consoles the only one I loved was DOOM 64… damn the game was intense. I will be playing it again soon just out of nostalgia.
BUYING1999 and I use the SUPERIOR D-PAD dual shock to get off. It’s all about that D-PAD!

this is either concept art (possibly) or more likely very very early screens from the game (there’s not much polish in here for a game that’s been planned to be on the next generation of consoles)

Who knows. One thing i know, this does NOT look like a DOOM universe, even on earth.
There are more screenshots on kotaku and If you look closely you can see a billboard where there is a doom logo (looks like its written doom 3)

doesnt look anything special..buying, mate.. you are spot on.i ditched my ps3 a while ago..just everything felt so much more solid on my xbox, its not just about the games that are coming out..its alot about the games that are out, the classics that i still love to play, GTA 4, red dead, mw2, resi 4 , need for speed, the list goes on..theyre all much better, and more solid on the xbox, nothing the ps3 has done has impressed me so much i can say yeah! the ps3 is more powerful!! skyrim is an EPIC game, and superior on 360, that alone is a selling point for me. truth with the ps3is..it just isnt,lol, and its not my opinion. its fact. so yeah back on topic , it looks ok. but theres better already available
So killzone 2 and 3, uncharted 1, 2 and 3, god of war 3, twisted metal, little big planet 1 and 2, journey, super stardust and metal gear solid 4 haven’t impressed you?????? Its facts that you never have owned a ps3, if non of those game haven’t “impressed” you. And most of the multi platform games do run better on the xbox than the ps3 but its only because it’s easier for the developer ( and that microsoft is giving a sh** load of money to bethesda and activision ) to make games on the 360 it has nothing to do with it is a better machine, the xbox has better online features but the ps3 have the best looking games of the two with solid gameplay. Its all about what you prefer and witch system your friends have so stop that stupid fanboy’ism and get both platforms before you write things like that little kid. i like the xbox and the exclusive games it have but i have supported playstation since 1996 when ps ONE came out and i personal think it have better games but grove up you are only embarrassing yourself.

every hater of a system i guarantee has looked on that system’s direction on their exclusives at wished they had it. when i was a kid i was purely a nintendo fanboy but when sonic the hedgehog came out on genesis i drooled like a punk, and it wasnt till years later i had my own sega.

Don’t have to didn’t like that game but its still a game with great ideas it looks good and its a great gift to kids like you.
