We kind of already figured this was the case, however, in a recent interview Remedy’s head of franchise development, Oskari Häkkinen, made it clear:
“Alan Wake as a franchise will never come to PS3. Hopefully that’s not your headline but for everyone that’s pretty obvious. It’s something we would never consider for the Alan Wake franchise.”
Of course that’s going to be the headline! Häkkinen mentioned that Alan Wake going to the PS3 would be like the Uncharted franchise ending up on another platform (although the entire Uncharted IP is owned by Sony, where as Alan Wake is entirely in the hands of Remedy).

Oh cry me a river… Know what is never coming to Xbox? Uncharted, God of War, Killzone, MAG, Resistance, Journey, Little Big Planet, Starhawk, Dust 514, Motorstorm, Gran Turismo, SOCOM, Heavy Rain, Infamous, Dead Nation, Stardust, Ratchet & Clank, Wipeout, and quite a few more. If gamers actually batted an eyelash towards Remedy’s PoS series, they’ve probably already torrented the PC version. Keep your franchise. It’s so irrelevant, it’s not even funny.
You’re absolutely right. The 360 only continues to live because of the multiplatform games.
first off, most of the games you listed have an xbox equivalent that is as good as or better (with the exception of Journey, that is your one real item of envy). Alan wake is a great game, that deserves the recognition it has gotten.
Burrito nothing on the Xbox matches or beats uncharted, god of war, journey, littlebigplanet, heavy rain, infamous, ratchet and clank, sly, and gran turismo (but it can be argued).
Also Alan wake 1 is a great game and I can’t wait for the sequel to come out!!! I played it on the pc btw

come on Burrito Crackdown is not as developed a game as infamous 2, and it was a very simple premise that was drawn out into a whole game, and Crackdown 2 was panned by most critics for offering little to formula to seperate it from prequel.
Heavy rain and Alan wake have almost nothing in common either.
Racthet and clank is leagues ahead of Banjo and kazooie, which whilst great games in their day, are very dated and dont stand up well today, plus it’s an xbl title and isnt really anywhere near as polished.
Uncharted, doesnt really have an equivalent either.
Ill not comment on LBP, as I have no idea what Minecraft is about, and whilst a fan of cuteness of LBP, wasnt that bothered by it. It still has amazing concept behind it though, for those into that kind of thing.
Back to topic though lol
Alan wake was great for first few hrs, then became very repetitive and I couldnt be bothered with it. It’s story was kinda driving me on, but not sufficient ultimately to make me want to finish it.
I think series is best left where it is. A cult classic for many. If they try to expand upon it, the chances are it will go the way of the Matrix trilogy and just become a bit of a joke.
Who cares. One can get it for free for the PC anyway.
Just like every other stationary exclusive game won’t be going multiplatform either? I don’t feel disappointed to be honest.
although i liked the first alan wake,but seriously how the f*ck you end up even mentioning the game like Uncharted … are u nuts ?! Uncharted is by far the best 3rd person shooter/adventure story based game on this generation, Of course it will never come to xbox even if it can handle it which i don think so… .
It’s a good game, I played the PC version, a good light and dark use, nice system, like a movie or series…..but isn’t a game of weight. I pass.
well thats a relief. If I really wanted to play this unoriginal title, I’d get it on my Xbox or PC. No-one cares.
Too bad but that was to be expected. Remedy probably has a deal with Microsoft to only release Alan Wake on Xbox 360 and Windows. Good that I have a decent PC.

Quantic Dream said the same thing a few weeks ago. That they’ll never develop for the 360. Now Remedy says they’ll never develop for the PS3. Who cares.
This is like the “hundredth” time I’ve seen articles where, Remedy keeps repeating this… My question is, why does Remedy keep giving this topic an answer when, no one has really asked the question to begin with??? It’s almost like, they’re purposely bringing this topic to light, only to bring attention to the fact that, no one really cares whether or whether-not this game gets ported… I’ve played and beat Alan Wake twice and personally, it’s not a game I could care about getting ported, even if I didn’t have a shitbox…
This game isn’t “Halo”… It’s not “Gears of War”… It’s not “God of War”… And it’s most certainly not “Uncharted”…
Alan Wake is a “dime-a-dozen” good game, and Remedy is just going to have to except that, “No One Cares”… So, please, do us all a favor and stop making this false comments to false questions…
Seems bit harsh saying its.some a dozen, there’s good directs to the game, and if they had worked on the mechanics and had something resembling a plot that made sense, and possibly a bit more depth to game play, turn would been a great game..id say it’s a good game, just not great one.
Shame. PS3 owners would have actually supported it like they did with the twice-as-successful Heavy Rain.

Alan Wake wasn’t that good anyways so it’s not like they are missing out on much, with that said, I did like the game. Just nothing to be sad over.
i dont think this franchise has alot of new ideas to offer anyway. “American Nightmare” didnt bring very much to the table. I dont foresee this franchise lasting much longer. PS3 owners arent really missing out.
To the PS3 fanboys, stop hating on Alan Wake and Remedy because it will never come on PS3. We all know exclusives like Uncharted, Infamous, and God of War will never be on the 360 but I personally don’t attack these games because of it. So stop being conceited twats and just ignore the game if you don’t wanna play it.

Good game put not great,and certainly not a classic so PS3 only owners really aren’t missing out on much.

have you ever even played uncharted?? its unbelievable that you could even compare those games. like wow. I myself prefer the 360, but i own both systems and the only reason i keep the ps3 is for the exclusives. to say the 360 has a equivelant game for every ps3 exclusive is delusional. Also you fail to mention a alternative for god of war 3?? i have seen others suggest prince of persia? lololol. prince of persia is a steaming pile of turd, while god of war 3 is one of the best games i have ever played. play it for half hour and you will be hooked. I have a pc now that sh!ts over the 360 and the ps3 so i dont really care, but your post made me join up cos you are just talkin out your a$$.

neither 360 or ps3 have Cobra Triangle. i play that naked
