We’ve got our hands on the soon to be released God of War III demo for the PS3 – the same one that showed up at this years E3. While a little brief, the demo is nothing short of spectacular. The game is shaping up to be one of next years “must have titles” and our “downloadable” HD video you’ll find above is the proof (not that you needed any). Check it out along with a ton of disgustingly awesome HQ screenshots (below). Note: The demo uses an older build of the game however.

I’ve been impressed with the stuff they’ve showed recently but what I want to know is how are the visuals on a technical aspect. I think we’re going to see another evolution series sometime in march. =P

I have the demo, as do alot of other people. You can get it by pre-ordering at Gamestop, or you can get it packed in with either the District 9 Blu-Ray, or the God of War Collection.
Yea here in America there’s no such demo.

Agreed. The comments have been moderated. We don’t care when users bicker with our verdicts as at least they are on topic. This is just childish fighting for the sake of fighting.

did you get your GOW3 voucher? Cause I went to 3 different Gamestops and they all said they haven’t gotten them in yet? I guess LarryL is just amazing?

Does the demo run at 30fps or 60fps?
Can anyone confirm that Gamestop actually has vouchers for GOW3. At lunch I went to another 2 Gamestop’s and they keep telling me that they don’t have any vouchers.
Since the demo hasn’t been totally optimized it seems to run at a high of 60 frames and dips to the low 24fps once in awhile. I heard the devs are trying to keep a stable 60 fps with the final build.
It appears that the frame rate isn’t capped on the demo. Here are the numbers that were posted on B3D:

This is the demo from E3. To clear up some questions, this is not the final build of the game, before the demo starts there is a message stating that the game is incomplete and will have some technical issues. That’s why the framerate and some animations are off. Check out the segment when Kratos smashes the peasant’s head on the ledge. The blood spatter appears as soon as the button is pushed not when the villagers head hits the wall. When the final version is done we will analyze it for sure. Doing one now like some other sites makes no sense since this demo is clearly labeled an unfinished build.

Man I can’t wait, even with out the multi-player it’s still gonna be a great game, unless you only play on-line. Then I can see why not.
I don’t buy games from companies that I don’t respect.
They closed the doors on PC gaming even with the STEAM only agreement.
I’ll just rent it if anything beat it, then just send it back to the bowels.
